Overly expensive, moderate food and I am being kind saying that. You will not get a napkin spending an average of 9-10 quid for a main meal YOU GET KITCHEN ROLL - OMG! ON A ROLL! Went on my birthday , not knowing anything about it and I can only say - Just DONT! If you want a pizza, buy one elsewhere. This place is living off being in the west end trendy and student area. I like good food but this is not it, certainly not for the prices. Might be ok if you are only popping in to the bar for a DRAM but I think the prices there will be over-inflated also . Our drinks certainly were! As for service , one poor guy was running about like mad ( wanted to say a fart in a trance) for all the areas, it did not work well. Kitchen roll? seriously????????????????????????? I did not see that they even serve ribs because that could excuse it (maybe) I will never go back there, West EndTrendyFarty Fork Up!!!!! IT IS A PUB FOR LOCAL PEOPLE (like league of gentlemen - shop ) A shame because my family direct a lot of tourists around many times a year and this will not be on the list. Places around it ...
Read moreA relaxed and dog friendly pub with welcoming staff. I've eaten here often, but I'm not too sure about last night's menu. It was somewhat incomprehensible. I don't know what 'Fo Shizzle' is, but what we were served definitely wasnt it, or maybe it was, if it means disappointing. The veggie burger option is now a fake vegan chicken burger which didn't sound appealing. The veggie burgers they used to serve were excellent, I'm not sure why you offer a fake meat option instead of the previously handmade versions. My friend had the meat burger option (there's red meat or vegan chicken nothing else) which looked more like a meatball and she was unimpressed by the measly topping and scattering of chips. I ended up with the vegan burrito which tasted nice but was mostly rice. Our side of chips arrived after we had finished eating and they were hot, but greasy. The chips were taken off the bill. Pretty disappointed by the food and most likely wont be back until the...
Read moreWas out for an afternoon drink in Glasgow - not the norm for me. Tried a couple of pubs close by, which were very busy and not welcoming. Went into this place and it was rammed, but the staff were so helpful and allowed us to sit in the reserved seating area. There was a big sports match on the telly and it seemed everyone else was in there to watch that. The atmosphere was buzzing and when the game finished, the Glasgow team had won, causing spontaneous singing to erupt. Even though we had no clue as to what was happening, it was fantastic and so friendly. We had some pub grub that was decent and reasonably priced. A good selection of beers, wines and spirits; being in the heart of Glasgow, a great selection of malt whisky. Prices were as expected. The staff were amazing and helpful. This has to be the best pub in Glasgow and, therefore, obviously the best pub in the world. Very dog...
