PizzaExpress — Restaurant in Scotland

I've no idea what was going on in there today, but the service was beyond terrible.

They weren't particularly busy, so that's not a reason.

One pizza base was wrong, ordered a second latter which never appeared but was still on the final bill. They were clearing the table while people were still eating (this is not the US).

When the bill arrived it had to be adjusted (to remove the latte), we wanted to equally split the bill - first half was paid, then went to pay the second which was a different value, when queried it turns out we were paying another table's bill. Transactions cancelled and correct bill was finally paid after staff member spoke to what looked like the chef.

The attitude of the staff member at the end was somewhat unacceptable considering the mistake was theirs all round.

Won't be going back, shame,...

Best Pizza Express FULL STOP

We occasionally use Tesco vouchers to go out for a wee treat at Pizza Express and nearly always choose this one as it is so good.

Have been to others in other cities but the food and service is always a let down one way or another but this place is ALWAYS 5 star food and service.

Had a lovely meal here tonight, served by a really nice guy who seems to really enjoy dealing with customers and makes them feel very welcome. There is also a lovely Italian/French/Spanish/Portuguese lady (sorry forgotten 🤷‍♂️) who we get served by and she also is very much a people person, always a smile and a good chat, very nice and welcoming.

Food is always excellent as well so they have some half decent chefs here.

100% worth a visit if in the area, we will defo be back many more times in future.

The restaurant was busy when we arrived and the atmosphere was buzzing. We were seated very quickly and our server Angie was very welcoming and attentive throughout our meal. Service was qreat and Angie was so friendly and full of fun and energy. The food was excellent. Gluten free options are available and I can highly recommend the Mushroom and Truffle pizza. Of course the dough balls are a 'must' and the gluten free balls are delicious. There is a great choice of desserts and if you don't have room for one they can pop one in a box for you to take home. The manager, Rebecca, was lovely and along with our server Angie they both made sure our whole experience was great.
