I recently had the unfortunate opportunity to visit Raunak Raseeli Restaurant, an Indian restaurant that left a lasting negative impression on me as the food is similar to the service they provide . From the moment I entered, it became evident that the hospitality at this establishment was severely lacking, and the experience quickly spiraled downhill.
Upon arrival, I was greeted by rude staff who seemed disinterested in providing any form of warm welcome. The lack of courtesy and basic manners was disheartening and immediately set a negative tone for the rest of the visit. The waitstaff was inattentive, neglecting basic service essentials such as refilling water glasses or attending to simple requests.
To my utter dismay, the lack of professionalism extended beyond the service. The bald guy of the restaurant, who was present during my visit, displayed a complete disregard for customer satisfaction. Instead of apologizing for the mistakes made, he engaged in heated arguments with disgruntled customers, resorting to vulgar language and non-sensical arguments. This behavior was both unprofessional and disrespectful, leaving me and others appalled by his conduct.
Adding to the disappointment was the presence of racist opinions towards India. The derogatory comments made by the bald guy were not only offensive but completely unacceptable. It is disheartening to witness such bigotry in a place that should be promoting cultural appreciation and respect.
Perhaps the most frustrating aspect of this experience was his apparent indifference to customer reviews. Rather than acknowledging the shortcomings and working towards improvements, he seemed dismissive and uninterested. This lack of accountability raises concerns about the overall management and commitment to customer satisfaction at Raunak Raseeli Restaurant.
Given the terrible hospitality, the use of vulgar language, nonsensical arguments, and the owner's racist opinions towards India, I cannot in good conscience recommend Raunak Raseeli Restaurant to anyone. It is disheartening to witness such a negative experience in what should be a place that celebrates and showcases the rich culture and flavors of India.
I sincerely hope that the management of Raunak Raseeli Restaurant takes these criticisms constructively and implements significant changes to rectify the issues. Until then, I advise potential customers to explore alternative dining options where their patronage will be appreciated...
Read moreThe guy sitting in the restaurant when entering the restaurant was not very welcoming, he seems not too bothered. Ambience is not great. Toilets are not clean at all for a restaurant with no or very few customers. Requested for some tap water the bottles looks like it’s never been clean, the glass ware and cutlery was so untidy with full of marks. I ordered a tropical smoothie, when it was served asked him hope the drink didn’t have any yogurt as I saw him filling the blender jar with loads of yogurt. To my question the guy who was serving us answer was yes all smoothies have yogurt it was not mentioned in the description of the item and I am sure there are smoothies with out yogurt. My wife continued to have the drink she said she felt like she was drinking a mango lassi rather than a smoothie. Non of the kitchen staff have any hair nets. Food served was ok I got rice that was cooked gods knows how many days ago but I definitely say it was heated in the microwave and tasteless quite stale and dry. The place doesn’t smell very pleasant at all the chairs were full of food that fell when wiping tables. One of the worst restaurants I have visited in terms of cleanliness. Overall very poor experience wouldn’t go back.
Update : Thanks for your reply 😊 A review is given to share the experience and help improving the services. It’s funny rather than addressing the issues, you are taking defence. If your focus is on customer satisfaction, you would consider/revisit the facts, rather doing a blame game. No one expects an Italian or granite, instead they expect clean washrooms.. which isn’t too much to ask for. Thanks for highlighting the fact that one shouldn’t be expecting a lot from a business like your’s. I will make sure all my friends and colleagues will definitely give your...
Read moreWe may have just found our new favourite Indian in the G20 😍
I absolutely love Indian tapas because I just love to pick at different things and get a right good taste of everything and here is the absolute perfect place for this!
Pictured: Poppadoms Mango chutney Spiced onions Veg and aubergine pakora Chicken and veg momos Chicken korma Butter chicken South India garlic chilli chicken Jeera rice Peshwari naan Gulab jamun and ice cream
The poppadoms with mango chutney and spiced onions were great, the mango chutney was spot on with the sweetness and the spiced onions were just the perfect amount of spice, the poppadoms were still warm when they got to the table too, love that!
Our starters were amazing, first time we’ve both tried aubergine pakora and it was so nice, the veg pakora was also lovely and so light.
I wanted to try the momos as I’d seen a couple of people saying they were amazing and I was not disappointed! They are Nepalese dumplings and can come plain with chilli sauce on the side or tossed in chilli sauce which I got and it was so good 🤩
All 3 curries were great, the butter chicken was definitely our favourite, one of my new favourite Indian dishes I think.
The peshwari naan was also light, fluffy and so tasty, went perfectly dipped in the butter chicken sauce 😍
We finished off with a wee gulab jamun and ice cream to share and they were the best I’ve ever tried 👏🏼
Would...
