EDITED** I went back last Friday for an exceptional meal with some fabulous margaritas and was well looked after. Really enjoyed the empanada cactus and jalapeño chz and the mushroom burrito. Seems like the previous time I was there they were still ironing out the new mexican themed menu. Anyway, looking forward to returning! Thank you Hug n Pint :-)

Used to be an amazing menu which is why I went recently and was thoroughly disappointed with the food. The waitress, although nice was inexperienced so didn't explain the menu properly and left us sat for ages waiting to order, no drinks/water etc. I ordered what I thought was a decent amount of food (2x tacos and 2xmulitas) but it was so tiny for what the cost and we were starving so we ordered more (burrito). Waitress also forgot one of the items I ordered (deep fried corn). So had to order more. Then there was the issue with the tacos and mulitas. Me and partner love spicy food but we were not prepared for the utter fireball that we ate. He literally couldn't finish his and we were both gasping for water for about 20 mins (had ordered water but it never arrived so partner had to go to bar and fetch some). We told the waitress it must be a mistake in the kitchen as there's no way all the things we ordered were meant to be that spicy! But nothing was really done and we were still charged for it. So after eating that meagre meal, we waited for the burrito and no sign of it. I actually had to leave so asked for it to go and left, and my partner had to wait for it. We ordered it about 7.20pm and it ended up coming out at 8.15pm!! Absolutely ridiculous. Anyway I did eat it for lunch the next day and it was fairly decent and not laced with hot sauce thankfully. Overall, so utterly disappointed with it all considering how amazing it used to be. I won't be back for a while...

Don't know what all the fuss is about TBH. Maybe I'm just getting old (is 43 old?!) but this was a total let down for me. I went vegan around 6 weeks ago and have put a great effort into preparing healthy & tasteful meals and was really looking forward to my first experience of a vegan menu. How far would the journey of discovery into flavours, textures and colours packing a health kick take me? Not very far. Small but not cheap portions of simple food is what I got. Finished a couple of bowls in no time and left still hungry. BTW, for my lunch earlier that day I'd made myself a raw kale, carrot, beetroot, tomato, tofu, seeds and tomato chili salad which packed a life giving taste sensation if I do say so myself :). Anyway, just expected more of a sit down experience with an example of what a vegan meal is really all about without having to spend a pretty penny to walk away suitably nourished. Rant over and back to my...

Nice enough place that was decorated well. The bar staff were nice but I felt they could have been a bit more friendlier, but they weren't unpleasant at all. We didn't order food as we were there for a gig but I noticed that in the open kitchen the chef was heating up portions of food in the microwave before it was presented to the table. Nobody that was eating seemed to mind but I just thought if I was going for a meal I would prefer for it to be freshly cooked. The drinks were very expensive and I was a bit shocked at the price. The downstairs venue was good for the gig but I could imagine it would be very cramped if sold out. They had painted the door and some wooden boxing around the room. It did have signs saying wet paint but it was hard to avoid and the girlfriend ended up with paint on her jeans. Great gig but I wouldn't go back and definitely not for...

Went here for a show and drinks and last minute meal. The show downstairs was nice and liked the tempranillo a lot. Then boyfriend and I went upstairs for food and got the jackfruit curry, blackbean dish, and courgette dish(? it's been a few days, so forgetting), and a bowl of rice. Prices were very fair, food was great, especially the jackfruit curry (maybe a tiiiiny bit salty?). Service and atmosphere was excellent as well. Lighting's a bit dim + not the prettiest looking food but tastes great.

Fun buzzy after works dinner and drinks with vegan colleagues. Worked out well for the non vegans especially the dairy free ones. The dairy free white Russian was a nice surprise and the Kim Chee porridge was lovely. Service was smooth and hassle free. Atmosphere is fun and relaxed with a mix of a few tourists and trendy locals alike. Updated... All the above still stands but the gigs are great too - small intimate venue, highly recommend
