Let me reiterate... I try hard to not rate places as five stars. But Redmond's is the real deal. It doesn't look like much from the outside but inside it is cool, warm, cozy and a bit funky all at the same time. The staff are friendly and competent. The food is awesome. The beer and drinks menu is great. It feels like they are intentionally erring on the minimalist side to make sure the things they DO do, they do very, very well without being up themselves about it. Read moreThought I’d pop in for a pint and a quick bite to eat on Thursday teatime. Didn’t think the frontage was too inviting, but entered regardless (never judge a book by its covers!) Well, so much for a quick meal. Ended up staying nearly 2 hours. Read moreWonderfully eclectic pub in North East of City. Plays vinyl tunes from a lp collection at side of bar. Great craft taps and a decent bottle fridge. Food is great, Asian in origin and cooked to order behind bar.
My suggestion is to sit at that bar. You end up chatting to barstaff and punters , while drinking the afternoon away with classic tunes.
