Artisan - Espresso & Wine Bar — Restaurant in Scotland

Have been here a few times now and mostly very nice experiences. The pastries and cakes are amazing, and the coffee is fantastic. Most of the staff are wonderful, very helpful and friendly, great for a chat. Only downside unfortunately is the older woman, I assume owner or manager. Zero customer service skills. Almost berated my boyfriend for not finishing the mountain of Parma ham on his sandwich, stating to “order it without ham next time”. Not the only occasion I’m afraid, overall very hostile vibe from her and not welcoming at all. Such a shame considering every other member of staff are welcoming...

Server "demanded" that I sit at a table until bacon and cheese baguette was ready to take out.. (I had asked for a cheese and ham finger roll, which I spotted in the chilled counter.) Simply awful! We waited for between 20 and 25 mins for two double decaf espressos after the VE 80 Service in St Johns Kirk this morning. The cafe was not busy! When the espressos eventually arrived, they were americanos in takeaway cups - we were sitting in! There are plenty of good cafes in Perth, the Black Watch Museum Cafe being, in my opinion, the best.
