I am not the sort of person to post negative reviews . I write them in my head and mentally "spike" them. However, in this case, I'm going to make an exception. My wife and I had very different culinary experiences here and after two days reflection about our joint experience I decided to put finger to keyboard. This restaurant is highly commended online and I understand why. They experiment with flavours and have a menu full of interesting variations on traditional South Asian theme. My Lamb, Ginger and Mushroom curry was sweet, succulent and full of meat. However, my wife decided to order off menu as she wanted at Chicken Tikka and the restaurant said "no problem". As you can see from the picture that accompanies this review what she got was two unmarinated chicken breasts, peppers and onions that, when we got the bill, cost more than the most expensive item on the menu (£12.90). And therein lies my problem. Our bill was such a work of fiction, it should have been on The Times' bestseller list. On the night we were there the restaurant had two members of staff: the chef and a very young waiter. When we came to the end of our meal and asked for our bill two groups descended on the restaurant and the waiter was visibly flustered. I am pretty sure he made up our bill. We paid the bill initially, feeling £60 for two main courses, 4 pappdoms and two starters was excessive. We took the bill with us and we were so uneasy we compared our bill to the prices on the menu in the window and we couldn't work out what we'd been charged for. We went back in to the restaurant to talk to the owner who tried to justify the bill and ended up giving us £10 to go away. This place's point of difference is that it's small and quirky and quaint but if that charm doesn't extend to the way it dealt with it's custimers I ask, "what's the point?"

Actually perfect. This place is genuinely probably one of the best restaurants I've been to in Glasgow. It is a little expensive but that price is so worth what you're paying for. I personally had the vegetable biryani with peshwari naan. 100% would recommend there's so much flavour in these dishes, I also managed to convince the party I was with on peshwari lol. However, It's not just food that was good but also the service and the plating too. Even the more typical dishes, like the chicken tikka masala and the traditional chicken breast curry that two of the people in our group ordered came out looking really quite spectacular. The woman who was working in front of house there that night was also really great. Really great place for Indian food.

I was out here with my dinner club friends. We try and meet up every two months or so. The place is small so booking is advisable. We had a lovely table in the corner by the window. It was warm and cozy inside. We had 3 starters, popadoms and 4 mains. A few pints and a bottle of red. Total bill for 4 was £38.75pp which included our tip. The food was delicious and the service is great. Nothing not to like, nice atmosphere.

Have been going to wee curry house for years and always been happy until yesterday. Myself and my two friends were very disappointed for the following reasons:- 1.The four papadoms we ordered at 5.15pm had obviously been lying around since lunch time as they were totally soggy instead of crisp. 2.The papadoms aren't listed on the menu so we were alarmed to find out we had been charged £6.50 for 4 soggy papadoms and 2 tiny bowls of pickle! 3.We asked the waitress for two basmati rice and ahe came with one basmati and one boiled rice. If we had asked her to change the rice to the correct order the reat of our meal would have got cold by the time our correct rice had come, 4.The prices the wee curry house advertises on its own online Menu are much cheaper than the menu they actually have in the restaurant. For example they advertise a chana dal at £6.40 online when it is £7.80 in the reataurant. The wine is advertised at £12.50 online and it is £14.50 in the reataurant. Everything in the restaurant is at least £1-2 more than on their on line al la carte menu ( which isn't for a take away)! The main meals we got were mediocre at best compared to what they used to be, with the chicken curry having barely enough sauce. The service was poor, with the young waitress making it clear she'd rather not have been there. She had obviously never heard of the term "service with a smile"! Is it any wonder there was only one other person in the restaurant in the 2 hours we were there, whereas before it used to be hard to get a table? If you rip customers off for poor quality food combined with a poor service in a run down ambience they wont come back. we certainly won't go back and won't be...
