4 of us went to C'mon Inn for a nice Saturday night dinner as we'd not seen each other for a while. We were not disappointed. The service was friendly and helpful (Thank you May!) and if you're a bit intimidated by the menu or if you've just never had Hot Pot before, they were super happy to help.
The lighting at the table was great for dining, and it wasn't too noisy but there was a really nice buzz about the place. As there were 4 of us, we each got to select a differently flavoured broth which was awesome, as I'm use to only getting to chose 2 at other Hot Pot locations.
We were drinking quite a bit, and the beer and wine were all deliciously cold (You've gotta have Tsing Tao at Hot Pot, or you're not doing it right).
We tried to have a little bit of everything but towards the end we were so stuffed that we didn't get to try all of it. We all absolutely loved the Char Siu, which we originally didn't pick on our menu but May correctly insisted it would blow our minds.
A lot of Scottish people haven't tried Hotpot /BBQ, and they're absolutely missing out. If you're on the fence about giving this place a try, definitely get in there and get tucked into some...

First of all, the service was fine and the staff were friendly enough. None of my complaints are against them.
But the dining experience is absolutely unsatisfactory. All of the grill meats were over-tenderised with what I assume is some kind of artificial tenderiser, to the point that the texture is almost slimy and spongy. The pork belly in particular was almost unrecognisable as pork.
The meats and other ingredients for the hot pot were slightly better, except one of the sliced meats was very chewy.
The worst part about the food was the "buffet", which had items like sweet and sour chicken, black bean chicken, fried rice, etc., except everything was room temperature cold and stale. It would be better not to offer any of it, to be honest.
The dessert and fruit section had a rather small selection, which I understand because this is a smaller independent restaurant.
Overall, for the price of £33, the meal was extremely disappointing and we left after just one round of orders without finishing everything. There are far better hot pot places in Glasgow that are much better...
Read moreThis is possibly the best dining experience in Glasgow I have been to numerous food places in Glasgow of all classes and types of food and this by far takes the crown. When you 1st walk in you are greeted by a very happy excited member of staff who will ask you if you want the hot pot or just al a cartè. Naturally we asked for hotpot we where then asked promptly what we wanted to drink and we were brought over a menu and unlike other places you tick everything you want to try. We tried such an extensive selection of food and we honestly couldn’t stop cooking and eating more the ingredients were so fresh and amazing. Someone of the food such as dumplings where frozen and you put them in the hotpot to cook and honestly the fact they where frozen didn’t make a slight difference to how amazing they where. The bill for both of us was £50 and for the amount of fresh seafood and steak we ate I felt like a criminal only paying £50, however with the food quality and amazing service we where sure to leave a generous tip. This place needs more recognition and should be Q’d out the door to get in. Well done guys...
