Firstly I wish to write in response to the previous review by David Smyth. Why when you arrived at the Weigh in and saw a "young girl that looked dirty, the place looked unhygienic and no hand washing unless using a dirty cloth which was stinking" would you actually buy anything to eat. Surely anyone with an ounce of common sense would walk away. Your review is clearly to get yourself some publicity, shameful in the times we live that your comments could affect the livelihood of people. I would like to share my experience, we were visiting the Highland Games and asked a local for a close place to get a breakfast, we were directed to the weigh in, we were told they did rolls and all day breakfast. I originally thought that it was a dine in cafe but soon found out that it is takeaway. The lady who service us was nothing but helpful, we had a chat about the day, the highland games and our visit to Scotland. We asked about the breakfast and were amazed at the price just over £5.00 each. We purchased two breakfasts, we liked different items of the food and they happily swapped them around so we had what we liked. We took the containers of food without opening them and walked back to our car to eat before the games. We were amazed when we opened the breakfast, they clearly have the packing and layout down to a fine art, the quantity and quality of food was credulous for the money we paid, such good value. The main contents were, one sliced sausage, three links sausage, two tatty scones, one egg, baked beans, black pudding and two toast. Neither of us could finish the breakfast. The food was tasteful and well cooked. We felt lucky to be recommended the weigh in. For the following week we had breakfast in various cafes and restaurants and always compared back to the weigh in. Please give the cafe a try if you are near. Please do not let one shameful person spoil the hard work and...
Read moreRecommended by my company's Managing Director, no less. I've stopped by here a couple of times now, on my "weigh-in" to work. :-/
The sun's just coming up and there's Moira bright and cheery, despite her not being much of a morning person; she tells me. She's been up since 5am and knows her way around. This establishment has been running for over 20 years and offers a huge variety of choices and combinations, for such a tiny place. I choose a link sausage and bacon roll (3 of each!) and a hot cup of warming coffee for my walk along the river. A bargain for £4.60. The sun's up now. The river Tay looks spectacular. I walk through Riverside Park feeling blessed to have found such a lovely, peaceful, delicious way to start my day. Moira and The Weigh-In are true gems, go and say hello and give her some well...
Read moreDefinitely the best snack kitchen in Perth. Fantastic menu, food always cooked perfectly. No, I AM NOT A MEMBER IF STAFF OR HAVE ANY RELATIONSHIP WITH THE WEIGH INN EXCEPT AS A CUSTOMER. THIS IS MY HONEST REVIEW OF MY EXPERIENCES GOING THERE FOR YEARS. Really fast service and can phone your order in 7-8 mins before you arrive and it's there ready for you, NO WAITING. Very reasonable prices. Could not recommend a better place to get a full breakfast, to burgers, chips and a wide selection of fresh rolls for lunches, chicken mayo with salad and peppers,. Tastes amazing . Online menu, just type Weigh Inn, Perth, UK. Very friendly staff, hygienic and clean. Use this place a lot, Favourite is a burger with extra...
