Terrible experience. Food isn't authentic really, drinks took over 10 mins despite there being only 1 other party dining at the same time as us, staff looked bewildered (apparently left to it by the owner as it's a bank holiday!) 2 separate people came in while we were there to complain about takeaway deliveries that were well overdue or cancelled, and a JustEats driver came and went as the kitchen were taking too long with the order, despite the restaurant being empty! We ordered a burrata salad for starter and were told because of how late it was (6.30pm!) that it would be mozzarella, but we were still charged for burrata. We also asked for the bread and olive oil and were given a bizarre excuse why we couldn't have it. We had to send the burrata salad back as it was covered in brown sugar, and my wife is diabetic. The BBQ chicken wings were awful, wet and greasy, had clearly been microwaved with BBQ sauce squeezed over the top. My cheeseburger pizza was ok, but my wife's veggie pizza was undercooked, wet and sloppy and tasteless. She asked for salt, and was handed a dirty pot of table salt with bits in it.
The reviews for this place were great, which is why we chose it after a long day out, but unfortunately it was highly disappointing. After seeing the other people who complained not getting anywhere with the totally helpless (and hopeless) staff, we paid the bill and left. We saw no point in complaining to people who were powerless to...
Read moreWent in on a whim at 7 on Friday night and we're so glad we did. I don't know how long this place has been open but now we've found it we'll keep going back. This place should be full at all meal times, the food is delicious and prepared with care. An appetiser arrived as a lovely on the house surprise and it was so fresh and had the lightest little dough balls. I had pizza and my partner had pasta and we were both equally jealous of each other's choices. Both were so tasty. Have had many wood fired/'traditional' Italian pizzas that seem to think burned bases and charred crusts are the way to go but no burning here, it was perfectly cooked. The member of staff who looked after us was a complete superstar. Very attentive despite being busy with another table. I asked for chillies on my pizza and he was very keen to make sure he got the level of spice just right -and it was, spot on. Very friendly without being imposing. We enjoyed our visit and although we don't live in Southport we visit regular so will be back at...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at this authentic Italian restaurant and it was an experience to remember. From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed by the warm and inviting atmosphere.
The menu was extensive, offering a wide variety of dishes from different regions of Italy. I opted for the classic Margherita pizza The pizza had a perfectly crisp crust, topped with fresh mozzarella and a tangy tomato sauce. The spaghetti was cooked al dente, just as it should be, with a creamy, rich carbonara sauce that was simply divine. The service was impeccable. The staff was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the italian cuisine. They made excellent recommendations and ensured a memorable dining experience.
Whether you're a fan of Italian cuisine or trying it for the first time, this restaurant is a must-visit. I can't wait to return and try more of their delicious dishes.
And i feel very strong positive energy...
