Costa Coffee — Restaurant in Sefton

The place was so filthy. The floors were a mess and any empty tables had dirty trays on them, some dirty trays were even placed on the side by the window so other customers could use the table. I had to ask for paper towels to wipe our table with. The spoon we were given for our cake wasn't clean either.

Went the loo before we left, there's only 1 toilet and the toilet seat wasn't even attached. It was leaning on the side of the toilet on the floor. And toilet itself was filthy.

This is in no way the fault of the staff. There was only 3 of them. 1 for the drive thru, 1 to ask customers what they wanted to order and 1 to make the drinks. They are seriously understaffed and whoevers running the place should never let the place run with so few people. I feel bad for them as you could tell they were rushed off their feet but were pleasant and gave amazing customer service. They're the only reason I'm not giving...

So came here today everything we ordered we got told no we don't have that or we don't have the sryup to make that either. I asked if they could do the fudge brownie frappe they said yes I ordered 3 drinks for out party the fudge brownie came with no chocolate sauce or sprinkles when I asked I got told well we don't have them when asked if i want another drink i said you don't have anything else. Bear in mind this is before 4 and we were already getting told it was take out only. When I told the tall dark girl I will just take a refund she walked in the back and sent her mate out to do it. Do not order via uber eats from Aintree Costa. Horrible service on part of restaurant. I've ordered twice and had items missing from my order on both occasions. Each time the poor couriers have not been given any information about items which may be missing from order. Telephoned store on first occasion to be told by a very rude girl that 'that item is out of stock and it's not my problem that uber doesnt give us your contact details'. Surely it's possible to offer an alternative for items paid for that arent in stock? Items promptly refunded by uber and delivery drivers lovely and apologetic for things beyond their control.
