This prime spot, is a place I have watched change direction and grow over the last number of years. I knew of the lads, going back when they had a small Coffee Roastery in a small business estate in Litherland. Back then they were providing a small Coffee Takeaway, that was making its mark, but their central focus was providing roasted coffee beans in different shifts and flavours and making their own statement. I have been to their newish, ever changing spot in Crosby, popping in now and again, for that classic cup, however on Sunday it was a totally different experience. I arrived to an expanded premises, busy with a nice flow of customers, newly decorated from my eye, instantly leaving a very positive impression. I took the next step outside of coffee and added some grub as well. Smashed Avocado on toasted Rye, crispy onions, smoked bacon with a smidge of Sriracha sauce with that integral kick and Wow…the best I have ever eaten. The combination was simply outstanding and left a lasting impression on my palette. I will be back for this delight on a more regular basis. It’s simply the type of light lunch food I love. My Latte was as always, well up their in my opinion, made with care and attention, lightly frothy with Crosby Coffees impacting signature. I had to add a sweetness of Chocolate and Strawberry slice just to finalise and I was not disappointed. All in all, the work, effort and dedication these guys have invested and watch build is a complete credit to their love and passion for quality and goodness. Keep up that fabulous drive, wishing the best in all...
Read moreVisited Crosby Coffee today after looking for somewhere local to buy good quality coffee beans. This place is amazing, there is a great little coffee shop with really knowledgeable and helpful staff. I didn't have time to stop for a coffee but definitely will next time.
Inside the coffee shop you can go through into another room where they actually do the roasting of the coffee. I was lucky to be there when a roasting was going on and chatted with the owners who were really friendly.
I ended up buying a bag of their Trio Blend which I have just finished my first cup of and it was lovely. Deep in flavour but mellow too. Best of all it was roasted today so it couldn't be any fresher.
I've attached two images to show the brilliant packaging. You pull a tab to open the packet and it is then resealable. Great that they have invested in this high end packaging allowing the coffee to stay fresher.
I've been round pretty much all the coffee shops in Liverpool and this place is the best. Forget the City Centre, this is where it's at!
One final point, you can smell the coffee roasting in the streets...
Read moreStood there like a numpty behind a customer standing at one end of the bar, believing I was in a queue. Barista sees me enter, sees me standing there. Counter staff aware of me but no acknowledgment, no greeting, no guidance. 5 minutes later, now having assumed this is a very slow service place, someone else walks up to another part of the bar and gets served immediately. I point out I was waiting already, but get completely ignored by the person serving the newcomer. Feeling invisible and also unwelcome, I ask the ‘barista’ who knew I’d been waiting but had said nothing, to make me a coffee please, (and of course then I can pay for it…) and she tells me to go to the other end and wait to order!?. Wow. Rude. Unfriendly. Unhelpful. Disrespectful. Demeaning. Certainly no signs of ‘hospitality’! I asked her to kindly ‘forget it’ and left. Absolute amateur shambles with zero awareness of...
