A Taste of Home – Truly Unforgettable! Had the chance to visit Himalayan Spice during our recent trip to Liverpool—and I was simply wowed! The food instantly transported me back to my childhood. It genuinely reminded me of that scene in Ratatouille, where the food critic is taken back to his mum’s cooking. That’s exactly how I felt! The flavours were authentic, rich, and unmistakably Nepali. Every bite felt like home. The ambiance was just as impressive—spacious, beautifully decorated with traditional touches, and soothing background music that made the whole experience even more relaxing. The staff were friendly and gentle, and I have to give a special mention to the manager. So humble, soft-spoken, and incredibly thoughtful—especially when it came to the kids. My little ones, who usually shy away from trying new dishes, were eating like they hadn’t been fed for days! They even have a special Himalayan curry just for kids—what a thoughtful touch. All in all, a must-visit restaurant for anyone craving authentic Nepali food and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back!

From the same people that have delighted so many at the award-winning Great Himalayas restaurant on Lord Street, in Southport, comes Himalayan Spice in Formby. My first visit was immensely presurable. Wonderful service, a lively, large venue and superb flavoursome food. They have managed to maintain the quality and consistency of their Southport restaurant at this new venue. And yes, the draft Kingfisher and Everest lagers are just as drinkable. In short, a brilliant addition to Formby's dining-out scene and comes highly recommended by this impressed and fully-satisfied diner.

Came here on the opening night so everything can get better I guess. First to say is that the food is absolutely delicious. Our party of four chose vegetarian starters and main. The dal was great. Service was friendly but very slow even though the place was half empty and it needs some finessing, for example not reaching over the table to serve and doing the wine properly. I’ll come back and I’m also happy to recommend the food to others.

Warm, Welcoming & Wonderfully Delicious!

I had the pleasure of dining at Himalayan Spice in Liverpool, and it was honestly one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. The flavours were rich and authentic—instantly reminded me of home-cooked Nepali meals from my childhood.

The atmosphere was calm and beautifully decorated, with soft traditional music that set the mood perfectly. The staff were polite and friendly, and the manager stood out for being especially kind and attentive, particularly with the kids.

Even my children, who are usually fussy with food, couldn’t get enough. They loved the special Himalayan kids’ curry. A fantastic...
