I have to say something about what I can only describe as the worst service I've had in many years. we arrived at what I can only describe as a dive "where we was not greeted by anyone at entry.i then asked a rude young girl called becky, covered in tattoos if we could get service as at this point me and my husband was not aware of the style of service changing to a canteen style.she rolled her eyes, huffed at us and just ignored us then proceeded to walk into the kitchen.it seemed that there was a lot of giggling and messing around in the kitchen from that member of staff and a few others in the kitchen.this was strike two for me as i have had amazing service in recent years here so why would you allow your business to be tarnished by kids that really dont care for your company.i think the place needs a great deal of looking in to from staff, managers to kitchen staff as the food was really not at all anything special. I never thought id see the place run by rude, arrogant children without manors for their elders. the final straw for me was the swearing and shouting from the kitchen, again what has happened to this place. sort out your staff before they ruin what was such...
Read moreA wonderful little Cafe, situated in the Wayfarers Arcade, offering seating in one of the most iconic buildings of Southport. The food is good, I love the curly fries, best in town by far. Cakes are spot on, and the owner works incredibly hard alongside her staff, she’s a lovely lady with a heart of gold.
This was my regular cafe with my mum who with middle signs of dementia, always insisted on coming here, because of the chilled out atmosphere, the incredibly friendly service and chat from the boss, we were always made to feel welcome, and they never minded her requests to have a doggy bag at the end of the meal, as the proportions are great, and the sandwiches always have ample filling.
I’ve struggled to return here, these last few months, due to the memories with my mum here, but that’s the whole beauty of the cafe, it’s created amazing memories for me and my mum, who saw this as her little slice of heaven, when all around her had started to crumble.
Honestly has one of the most lovely settings in town, and even in winter, they care so much for their clients, they have outdoor heaters on in the seating area...
Read moreWe have stopped at this place for lunch quite a few times over the past year and never been disappointed. However we have just been and sadly it will definitely be the last. I went to place our order as usual and instead of a friendly welcome the man taking the order was quite abrupt and lacking in customer service skills. I ordered a tuna, red onion with mayonnaise sandwich on brown bread. Firstly there was no butter on the bread, hardly any mayonnaise and no red onion. It looked like they had opened a can of tuna and plonked it in the middle of the bread. It was so dry and unappealing. I brought the issue of the missing onion to the attention of the waitress who apologised and said she would sort it. When she brought it back she said they had forgotten it, so put some slices of red onion on the sandwich. We used to share a bowl of chips with our sandwiches and there was more than enough. Now you can order chips with your sandwich for£3.50 and you get a very small portion... not worth the money. It is so sad when a good place gets taken over and it takes a turn...
