Even though i had to drive an hour to get here it was well worth the trip to go there with my daughter for the day. I did try and go once before a few months back but to my dismay it was closed. Turns out I really should have looked on the website about opening times before I went. Trust me, it helps a lot.
The place itself i a little pricey to get in, but if you park in the car park you get your money refunded off of your ticket. You also have to pay for a locker which comes with this totally funky wristband that closes and unlocks your locker. It only opens and closes your one somehow. Im not sure on the technology behind it but it's still impressive.
Onto the slides and pools. The first thing i noticed was the temperature of the water. It was warm! I hate freezing cold pools, this was an absolute godsend in my eyes, my daughter couldn't have cared less though. she was only 4 at the time. Which neatly brings me to my next point.
The super awesome slides were unfortunately out of my reach as i was with a 4 year old but the queues weren't too bad and waiting time was pretty small. The speed swirl or whatever its called was fun too. My daughter had so much fun moving at speed, she wanted to visit it every few goes on a slide.
The kiddies area, which is also pretty fun coincidentally has two separate areas. the first is a massive climbing frame apparatus and two slides with all kinds of fun water features spraying and shooting everywhere. For an adult to go down the slides though can be kind of rough as they are designed for toddlers under 5.
The other kiddies section has loads of little water features where you can play with things like mini dams and water works, water wheels and other spinney magic things that captivate the pre-toddlers and up to 5's.
There is a cafe very close to the poolside cordoned off so family members not swimming can still watch and have a drink or something to eat at the same time. Don't ask me on the prices though I didn't eat there.
All in all, me and my little girl had a great time. I'll be taking ht e rest of the family someday soon and we will surely have fun fun fun. Very highly recommended place to visit in...
Read moreWeve got active choices bands. The first time we came we received discount from one band, unaware at the time we left it at that, however we went again and we're told the second band wasn't even registered to us, after some debating the lady fixed it for us and we got a discount off both bands, then realising we had been done over the first time, I mean why wasn't the issue fixed the first time? Then today we've gone, bands fine, discounts fine, now we have been overcharged, my son is 4 not 6 ! We were even told by the staff his wristband was wrong for his age after a dispute at the family flume over him going it alone. Its a mere £1.10 but for gods sake ive just paid 40 quid for gold passes and you overcharge me really? Just fed up with there always being a problem. Bubble spa thats a laugh its on for 10 minutes off for 30 minutes. Rapid ride...its a whirlpool. They shut off the toddler part with the bucket 15 minutes before every sodding band has to get out! So if you've got gold passes its open shut open shut all day! Never been offered stamps. Had to ask today for them and we've got until the end of September to use them so too late really, oh and that now says on it that my 4 year old son is 6-15. It was freezing today in there, water and the centre itself. I'm sure they had the air con on full blast. The slides are good fun,the prices are high but I get a discount and I stay more than 4 hours so the price works out well for us. There's lots to do in there and it's clean. I return because my son loves it but please no...
Read moreCan’t express how disappointed I am that I choose this place. On arrival I was told the card machine wasn’t working, so had to leave my wife and 2 babies in the waiting area and walk over to Morrison’s. Paid over £30 for 2 adult and 2 babies and a locker! Then to find the changing rooms appalling, toilets even worse, the stench of urine was worse than a pig farm! The lack of babies equipment and things to do, and half arsed staff was unbelievable! Not only were the changing areas and toilets unhygienic, my wife was startled to see a CCTV camera above the family changing room with no notice or signs alerting customers that they along with their children were being recorded!! I advised her it wasn’t actually pointing in our bay. But I find this to be a huge safeguarding issue as a lot of families were changing their children in the aisle where that camera is located.
We wanted a snack / drink, sat down and then told the cafe was closed for hot food, so I ordered 2 coffees then and told cash only!!
So we decided to leave, I went to the vending machine at the font after getting the £1 back from the locker, and the drinks vender, totally empty!
I want to know how you can run this sort of attraction as a tourist...
