The Victoria hotel — Restaurant in Sefton

We used the Victoria's downstairs function room to host an after-party after my partner and I got married.

We never had any issues getting information and felt very welcome from the get-go to come in and ask any questions we may have.

We were allowed to come in the night before the wedding and decorate the room, which took a lot of pressure off us as we were worrying about having to do it the day of the wedding.

The buffet that was provided was lovely, and everyone mentioned how lovely the food was and how welcoming the staff were. Everyone had an absolutely amazing time, and we will recommend to anyone we know looking for a function room.

Apart from one nice woman who works there was given snotty looks then because I was driving was told I have to leave if not ordering another drink, I said I’ll have a water please and was told no just leave . Considering 3 of my friends where still drinking who I was sat with it seemed a bit desperate to tell me I needed to buy alcohol even though I told them I couldn’t because I was driving. ‘Not my problem love’ is what the woman who I believe was the land lady said to me , won’t be returning again unless to use...

I've been a regular for nearly a year and always got on with bar staff and regulars. Tonight I arrived at 11.10, 50 minutes before they usually stop serving on a Saturday. Paula (the landlady) refused to serve me, basically saying that since I hadn't been drinking in the pub all evening she wouldn't serve me now. Worse still she told other bar staff not to serve me, even though they were serving everyone else. It was pretty humiliating and undeserved so I won't be...
