Waterloo Sunset Cafe — Restaurant in Sefton

I was seriously disappointed on my visit. Given that I have previously been and complimented the place on 'Trip A'r' we have arranged to me family having recommended it to my mother.

We arrived to find a hand written sign advising that they're closed until 1.30pm as had no tables!! A young staff member coming out stopped us from entering until I explained we already had family inside with our table waiting for us!!

She didn't know what to do, so asked the 3 female staff behind the counter. Who flat out refused without waiting to hear my mother already had drinks at her table and waiting for us!

My Dad was actually stood at the counter with crisps and ordering our drinks. That was until we had to get his attention to explain we couldn't come in!! A couple sat near the door seemed dismayed by the charade.

My parents furious and I felt very angry at the rude attitude. This will be followed up with a negative feedback on other well known sites!

I always give praise when it is deserved but rest assured this has greatly annoyed me especially to see one of the girls laughing behind the counter. Poor service, attitude,...

We stumbled across this gorgeous coffee shop on our way to see "another place" anthony gormley sculptures which is a 10 minute walk away. This beautiful place is a haven of peace, so friendly warm & welcoming and dog friendly too! The staff are so wonderful especially the young chap we spoke to for ages and ages he was just so engaging and charming he really makes the place! He was just so wonderful to talk to. The coffee was gorgeous and we wished we had stayed longer for lunch! A stones throw from the train station and the beach this place is absolutely perfect in every way! Next time we are back in liverpool we will take the time to come here again and have food as they have a great menu and the food looked amazing! The decor is boho chic yet cool and the atmosphere was very chilled with cool music. Rude staff and wrong order!!!! Called in for coffee and cake and witnessed a slanging match between staff and a customer. The poor customer dared to ask for milk to be added to his takeaway tea, as he had been given black tea and he asked for white, member of staff was extremely rude and aggressive to him in front of a queue of waiting customers, even banging angrily on the counter after he left. Eventually our order came, 3 cappuccinos and 1 hot chocolate, although we had ordered 3 lattes and a luxury hot chocolate! I asked a member of staff if our table could be wiped as there was jam in the corner, she came back with a cloth and just wiped the corner!!!
