Angelica's Tea & Cake — Restaurant in Sheffield

It was my first time visiting this Cafe , and last for sure sadly. One of the staff (middle aged lady) was clearly not happy serving me and my friend..We just asked if any of the cakes are gelatin free, and she answered quickly no no we have nothing vegan!! I said I just need a vegeterian not vegan cake 🥹. Without even checking the food book that got all the ingriedients in details!!! Not even offering any other options, like just want us to leave. Do I need to mention that me and my friend are hijabi muslims! TBH it is really rare to face such a treatment in Sheffield, but when you do it really hurts 💔 hope she can find peace...

I have a rare swallowing condition called Achalasia and can only eat a small amount at a time ,especially when I want to eat lunch and cake with my friends. Alison was amazing. So kind .She made sure I could take my soup home to eat later as I was enjoying it so much so that I could manage to eat cake with my friends. Nothing was too much trouble.
