El Paso — Restaurant in Sheffield

Avoid this place! Discrimination from staff towards me.

Food was expensive and portion size was small for the price I paid. A drink was spilled down my white dress from one of the young woman staff waitresses. I think she purposely spilled the drinks down me as she was opposite me and I was wearing white and she was jealous of me and she was not bothered about sending me the money to pay for my dress even though she said she would and then made up lies saying I’m with Lloyds it will take 10 minutes to come to your account, what really happened is she didn’t send the money and when I confronted her she said I don’t know. The dress cost me £40 and the coffee stain did not come out of my dress!

She obviously did not know how to do her job properly and I’m not sure why she offered something she did not want to do.

The money never came. She lied and the manager knows she never sent it me. He also said he didn’t want to say anything to her because she is new- not that this mattered. I approached the manager who said he would pay for it to be cleaned even though the stain did not come out. His name was Naz. It was really embarrassing and upsetting as I was on a staff night out and this was the first place we went to when this happened. I also had no help of other staff who was working there. They didn’t help clean my dress or offer a free drink. The manager was useless and I expected a drink or free meal given to me and when they didn't I thought it was disgusting and unprofessional as it did ruin my night and they never offered anything and when I asked about a free meal they said no and I had to pay for my meal. I will never...

I was going to rate this venue 5* regardless, as the food is good, the cocktails and service excellent, the price isn't crazy (unless you get too into the cocktail menu, but there's always happy hour) and the manager/owner is always very welcoming. We try and come whenever we have an evening free or there's an occasion!

Particularly wanted to mention my last trip however, as this was the first time we had taken our small child (whos age is still measured in months) out to dinner and were, obviously, slightly worried about them being bored or stressed. We'd come slightly earlier than usual so it would be quieter and obviously prepared, but want to thank the Italian server for the great conversation and taking time out of his day multiple times to make our little one feel welcome :) Really appreciated your efforts and you made the whole thing so much easier and comfortable, the other lad on the bar also went out of his way to clean the baby changing facilities in front of me without any prompting too, in my opinion the staff went above and beyond what's expected so wanted to...

OMG!!! I’ve probably eaten at 100 Mexican reataurants in the past few year, in London. El Paso is definitely in my top 3. We were here for my Neice’s graduation party and the way the place was decorated for us was amazing. The owner (forgot his name after so many drinks) was personally there to make sure we get the best of the best. It felt like family, with the owner and his associates joining us as we dances through some amazing songs. They also made a special desert for us in the end which was SUPERB! Lovely family owned place. Whenever I am in Sheffield - this is the place where Ill definitely visit. The food was brilliant and some of the chefs recommendations (veg and non veg) just blended in with everyone. No food was wasted as every bite was like drops of heaven!
