Broomhill Tavern — Restaurant in Sheffield

Twas the night of 29th October - The footballing fixture of Tottenham Hotspur Vs the Manchester City seemed too enticing to turn down. I thought "what better way to watch the match then in the Broomhill Tavern" so I eagerly made my way down like an absolute stormtrooper!! The atmosphere was great. It reminded me of Anfield in the early 80's - MAGNIFICENT!!! What made it better, is that I found out the Land Lady was a quarter finalist on the X Factor!! OMG!!! Great place. Only thing that ruined the night was a whining group over water wanting...

I highly recommend this place to anyone, whether you are a local or a new student. It has the perfect balance of comfort and atmosphere between the quiz nights and showing the sport (which can be seen anywhere in the pub).

Very reasonable on the drink prices, and I've never had a bad pint poured in there. The Guinness especially is top quality compared to other places in the area if that takes your fancy. The staff are great as you can have a good laugh with them as well.

What more do you want in a pub? You honestly won't find much better...

It started with a simple question, “please can I have a tap water”, however the response we gained from a rude and aggressive bar tender ruined my friends night. He was told that he could not have a glass of water, even though he was driving. The reaponse was that he needed to buy an alcoholic drink. Another member of the party asked for water with his drink, and he was refused and told to be mugging the bar tender off. AVOID AT ALL COSTS (although not the cost of tap water) if you want...
