It’s a wonderful cafe if you don’t bring your young children. Delicious food, and I love the tea menu. I was so pleased to find this cafe and had a wonderful time with my friend, and again with my husband. This is my problem: don’t go with children. When I had my second child I decided to brave going out for lunch on my own with my newborn and three year old, and chose this cafe to go to. I had the worst cafe experience of my life and it’s taken me almost a year to write this. But it’s important for parents to be aware of. It was busy, but I was greeted with utter rudeness from being told I could wait in the cafe for a table but “I don’t know where but not near that door”, when I needed help to move a chair I was told “ you can move a chair but I can’t help you”, and “put it outside if you like”, then on to the table which needed clearing and my three year old was trying to put her fingers in old food and tea cups, when I asked if it could be cleared as a priority I was told “no one is available to do that” and “ you know you have to come to the counter to order....” . In the end I was so stressed out with my baby crying and my hungry three year old, so I went next door to the co op and bought a picnic and we sat in the park. Maybe things have changed in the time since I went last summer, but I daren't bring my children again, as sadly I was made to feel...
Read moreI can’t recommend this coffee shop enough! The staff here are absolutely lovely — always warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind. I've been coming here regularly, and their friendliness never fails to brighten my day.
The atmosphere is so relaxed, chill, and cosy — perfect for unwinding with a coffee or getting some work done. The music they play is always spot-on too, adding to the calm and inviting vibe.
This morning, I stopped by for breakfast (which was delicious as always), and while chatting to Nikki, she very generously treated me to a coffee after I mentioned I’d been dipping into my savings a bit lately. That small gesture meant so much, and it’s a true reflection of the caring vibe they’ve created here.
The owner, Amalasiddi, is so lovely, and the warm, welcoming atmosphere he’s cultivated really shines through in everything they do.
If you're looking for great food, fantastic coffee, and the kindest staff in a cosy setting with brilliant music, this place is an absolute gem. Thank you for making my morning — and so many others — that little...
Read moreOutstanding. veggie cafe. These people are "proper" vegetarians and they understand that veggie food needs to be tasty. I had the bhaji plate: delicious spicy bhajis and 3 tasty dips. I particularly liked the aubergine one. My friend had an open toasted sandwich of tempeh bacon with avocado and salsa. Again, really tasty and she was delighted to find tempeh on offer. My granddaughter praised the veggie breakfast, really hearty, and she loved the sausage patties. The coffee was good and the brownies were moist and melted in the mouth. There's a great range of teas. There are vegan and many gf options and eggs and cheese are available. The atmosphere was cosy, peaceful and relaxed. The clientele was a mix. As well as bring a haven for vegetarians it's a nice neighbourhood cafe where people can relax, work on a laptop or maybe meet friends. We'll...
