For a short stay in Sheffield we scoured the Internet for the very best place to enjoy a laid back dinner on Sunday evening. After looking at a few places, we made absolutely the right choice in Napoli Centro!
From walking in we felt very welcome by the incredibly friendly staff, throughout the experience they were friendly, attentive and helpful, truly making the experience for any restaurant.
However, the food here was the star of the show - I would go as far as saying this was the best pizza we have ever had, including that sampled in Italy itself! A thin and crispy base with clear high quality ingredients made for a fabulous pizza. Not to overlook however was the fantastic fritto starter and the indulgent Tiramissu dessert which we had to take on the train home with us!
Napoli Centro is an unmissable experience when in Sheffield, for all the right reasons, and we will certainly be returning should we come back to the city. Thankyou to everyone involved in our lovely...
Read moreHad heard a lot about this place and could not wait to try it for myself. I am so glad to say it did not disappoint. The interior design was relatively minimalistic and yet captured the Neapolitan essence with a panoply of football t-shirts and graphic cartoons and pictures. We had booked in advance for a lads Friday night out to ensure we could eat in and take the whole place in. The team were polite and helpful and we would order the tartafuta, fantistici quattro and Sophia Loren. I can definitely see why this place has the reputation it has, with its brilliant pizzas made traditionally for good prices. The dough was simply sublime and this was one of the best four cheese pizzas I had ever tasted; each cheese actually coming through. We had to round it off with the nutellamisu! Perfectly light and oh so rich. The only complaint would be that it could pack a stronger punch of coffee. No excuse to not try this place if...
Read moreNapoli Centro is a lovely authentic Italian, as well as an independent business which we are huge fans of! Our visit yesterday did not disappoint in the slightest. To start, we shared the Fritto Napoletano, being able to taste all 3 was a lovely touch and they were all delicious. For mains, we had the carbonara pizza and the salami piccante pizza, both of which were amazing. We were pleasantly surprised by the carbonara pizza as this was our first try (we would definitely recommend if you’re unsure!). The dough was one of the best we have tasted, and we have eaten a lotttt of pizzas in Sheffield! The service was lovely, and despite having to wait a little for our pizzas the waitress was very apologetic but we didn’t mind waiting (understandably the restaurant gets busy and receives a lot of orders). Overall, we had an amazing meal and we will definitely visit again...
