Don’t really leave reviews but the landlord took my sons Identification and destroyed it , my son wasn’t even drinking, also Gary McCartney is the land lord leaving his own positive review about cameras after a reviewer complained about cameras , well Gary you say cleaned up but your penny black Facebook page shows you will a bunch of football hooligans most of whom are barred from the ground on match days they look for and arrange fights outside the pub - #Theboysarein . Overall not a safe place to , not been cleaned up looks more like Gary is encouraging the hooligans the cctv is there to cover away team hooligans. Excellent service, superb food and good beer. Located next to the interchange this pub is in a handy area and offers the most friendliest service I’ve ever come across.

The gentleman with the pony tail was really nice and (sorry I don’t know if you were the chef or the manager!) kept us up to date with the food and checked in service, Amal details but it matters and makes a lot of difference.

There was a strange chap playing a guitar who was soon put in his place 😂 this was dealt with firmly yet professionally and in a good way. The management even apologising for something that was in no way, shape or form their fault.

Only regret was not being able to finish the food! It was lovely...

Popped in after a day visiting our daughter at the uni, we weren't sure what to make of it at first as it was a bit rough around the edges from the outside but we had a couple of hours to kill waiting for the coach so thought we'd give it a try.

We only ordered drinks and deserts as we'd eaten previously but they arrived in good time and everyone enjoyed them.

The prices were standard for Green King, staff were friendly and accommodating, the music (Saturday DJ night) was in full swing and enjoyable.

Will definitely visit again when we come back...
