Disappointing Experience at The Gin Bar

We visited The Gin Bar on Saturday with a small group of friends, excited by its glowing recommendations. The decor was undeniably beautiful, with a chic and inviting ambiance that set high expectations. The gin selection was impressive, featuring a curated array of unique options that any gin lover would appreciate.

Unfortunately, the experience was soured by the behavior of the female bartender. From the moment we arrived, her attitude was dismissive and unprofessional. She was curt, and sarcastic and atempts to engage with her to rectify a problem with our drinks was met with an air of condescension that made us feel unwelcome.

The rude service overshadowed what could have been a memorable evening. A venue with such potential should strive to make patrons feel valued, not dismissed. Customer service is a key part of the experience, and sadly, this was lacking.

While the gin and setting were commendable, the bartender’s attitude left a lasting negative impression. It’s unfortunate, as we had high hopes for this visit, but we’re unlikely to return or recommend...

Disappointing. The staff tried hard but they really don't have much of a clue about professional bar work. We ordered just gin as we like to drink good gin neat but were given tonic and even had it poured into the glass without being asked. The design of the bar has not been thought about as the staff have their backs to you when making drinks, this is neither welcoming or friendly. The prep area was chaotic and untidy. The place is nicely furnished with some interesting pieces but needs a lot more thought....

Friday night but still very quiet here. Only around 7 covers in a bar that can hold many more. Still the person behind the bar was open to making a drink not exactly on the menu and the service was professional and friendly. There's not really anywhere else like it on Abbeydale or Eccy road for gin or for the kind of atmosphere it is. The Camden beer is good, the prosecco bubbly and the tequila fine. Lots of fruity cider choices to and naturally, I boat load of gins
