The taste of the food was okay and the prices were good. Other than that everything needs to improve.
Start with the parking - absolute chaos in the car park with people parking where ever they want however they want regardless if they are using rb pub or not.
Then the general feel of the place, it's a chain/franchise with a very "local" pub feel. Which sounds great and should be great. Unfortunately it isn't.
We went for something to eat as a family in a place where they made you feel like an outsider. You could tell who the regulars were as these were the ones doing whatever they wanted.
When trying to tell the lady behind the bar we had booked, her friend was getting her child to shout the lady "Aunty" and ask why she had left them....whilst she was trying to serve us.
We then went to the table careful not to hit or get hit by one of the many children running riot/riding scooters throughout the place.
When sat we decided to order via the table scan so we didn't disturb the friendly group. Drinks came swiftly, food a little more slowly and unfortunately the food was cold. Took us a little while to gain the attention of a young man who swiftly took the food away to get it "remade".... I'm not convinced it was remade let's put it that way. When he brought the food back he made us try it whilst he was stood there to make sure it was okay. We really didn't appreciate this. The fact the food (aka my putting my finger in it) was warm, was clearly enough for the team as we were never asked by anyone if the food was okay this time around.
Luckily it was okay and it tasted good albeit still not "hot" but edible, and at the price it's value for money.
The other annoying thing was the cold draft and smell of cigarettes amongst other things thst kept drifting past us due to kids running in and out of the doors we were sat near.
We wrapped up and left and soon found out what the peculiar smell was as we past no less than 3 groups of people all clearly sharing a cigarette of the not so legal kind.
Overall it was okay to call in for a bite to eat. Not a chance we would return to this...
ย ย ย Read moreWe were at Sheffield to attend an experience day at a farm and stopped at a nearby hotel. We looked for pubs nearby and this pub was listed, we've used Sizzling pubs before so we knew it would be OK. When we walked in, we were greeted, we quickly found an empty table. I was using Dining out club vouchers and couldn't do this online at our table so we had to order at the till. We were greeted quickly and our order was taken. The staff were so patient when accepting ยฃ50 worth of vouchers in ยฃ10 increments. Out order was verified and we had been told there was an hour wait on food. To our surprise, about 20 minutes later our food was brought to the table. We had a member of staff check everything was OK. The food was great, up to standard. When we finished, the staff member brought out our desserts. Lovely experience and would definitely visit here again. Staff members that were there that we caught name of were Amy, Amelia, Daisy, Kat and Josh. Keep up...
ย ย ย Read moreWe had booked in advance for 5 people for Saturday 19th February for my sons birthday. On arriving the football was on the big screen and it was packed with adults and children. We passed through to the eating area. We were shown to a table.all the other tables were empty which isn't very reassuring in the dining area on a Saturday tea time. . And 2 tables from us was a tall bar table with seats and 4 very loud drunk lads watching the football. Constantly swearing and shouting . I have no problem with people going to a pub and enjoying themselves if it is away from the restaurant area. There was no way we were going to be able to even have a conversation let alone enjoy a meal. We looked at the menu for a good 10 minutes before unanimously deciding to leave. Had all the football fans and drinkers been at the bar end of the pub we would have stayed. This completely ruined the night and my sons birthday and has completely put me off trying a...
