Really like that this Greggs is open later as I'm still able to get a coffee once I've finished work or out on a stroll in the evening. Warmth of food is a bit hit and miss. The less popular food seems to sit on the hotplate much longer so becomes cold and stale. I go for the vegetarian options so I'm often eating the cold, stale food! My partner tends to eat the more popular choices and his food is always warm! Coffee is coffee as you would expect from any coffee machine. Nothing special but nothing to complain about. My biggest moan about this branch is the island with doughnuts, promotion items etc that they plonk in the middle of the shop!!! Really difficult to manoeuvre a pram round this particularly when it's busy. Also it creates two queue lines when only one person is serving, as customers aren't sure which side to go on!! Also seems to be a good excuse for Uber Drivers to ignore the main queue line and barge straight...

Just serving anyone who barges to the front of the group of people just standing at the counter when they shout "next please". I waited patiently behind the rabble until they were all served. Heard next please walked forward, and the lady then just walked off, before I could even say anything some lady just walked up to the counter barked her demand and was swiftly served again before me. I had at this point had enought i calmly walked back to the fridge re-placed the coke and only then i was i acknowledged as i was now annoyed. Pointed out the member that id waited patiently just for some other lady to barge past and be served and it wasn't acceptable. He didnt look remotely bothered other than to ask if id payed for the coke( which id literally put back in front of him) Totally disorganised, unpleasant experience won't...
Read moreUnfortunately, my Gregg's experience in the Slough High Street today was less than the usual amazing one that I have enjoyed in the past. The main problem was not in the service I received or the general state of the shop. No, the main problem was the with the two steak bakes that I bought after 09:30 this morning. They were verging on cold and the crust was overdone. I am sure that there are regulations on how hot food should be when served to customers. I suspect that my favourite pie shop is cutting costs by not hearing the pie selves in order to keep the products hot for customers. Keeping costs low is important; but not at the cost of our health...
