Outstanding food, but the service was disappointing.
Went with my boyfriend earlier today. We shared two of the specials, a peach melba pancake stack and a chili brisket kimchi brioche, the latter being one of the tastiest things I've ever eaten!! â¤ď¸
The service itself just seemed a little chaotic and the staff seemed like they were super stressed and just unhappy to be there. We got sat on a table and told that our table was reserved in an hours time so we would have to move then. Because of how busy it was they only started preparing our drinks about 40 minutes after ordering/5 minutes before we needed to leave our seats, so we had to ask to remove them from our order. I don't think I've ever been to another restaurant where the food has been served and eaten before the drinks have been started, but I can appreciate that this might have just been on off day! I don't think it would stop me from returning though, the food was too...

This didnât take long but when we got back to the cafe a surly young girl shoved some menus in our hand and mumbled something and walked away! Not seeing any tables available I approached another server who pointed and mumbled something about it probably was upstairs! My disabled husband managed to get up stairs (just). The server appeared (who was equally spurling) and we asked a few questions about the menu which she made quite obvious that we should have known and we ordered. 10 minutes later she came back and mumbled something about food would be delayed by 30 minutes and walked away. No explanation or apology. At this point we left. We have never been before and we will not be returning. Scandi cafe is next door so will continue...

They quite rudely told us to move upstairs because âwe were in the wayâ - fine but at least ask politely. Our toddlers started fiddling with the speaker upstairs and waitress ran up to ask why the music was so loud (it wasnât). We apologised, moved the speaker out of reach and she replied sarcastically âmaybe donât let themâ. Again, totally fine to ask them not to but really no need for the attitude. We then heard her downstairs say âweâre not a nursery they should take them to soft play next timeâ. So unpleasant and totally unnecessary. Odd they were so rude to us another customer had their dog up on the table which didnât seem to...
