Scandimania Coffee House — Restaurant in South Kesteven

Had been several times before but our last visit, a few weeks ago was a major disappointment not least as we took with us some friends who both work in hospitality. There was no welcome from the staff (on their phones) no gluten-free options left, indeed no food options other than toasties (which to be fair we're fine but not an option for a gf person) We asked for water and was told where we could find it. When we did we found the glasses were dirty. We asked for clean ones and they gave us new dirty ones. We pointed that out and were told they had been through the dishwasher so should be clean! They weren't. It wasn't the lack of options in the end that was issue; things do run out, but the utter lack of concern or communication or care on the part of the staff. Scandimania Coffee House in Stamford is the perfect place to go for a delicious cup of coffee and some freshly baked goodies. I recently visited this charming cafe and was impressed by the quality of their coffee. The baristas were friendly and knowledgeable, providing me with an excellent cup of coffee that was perfectly brewed.

In addition to their great coffee, Scandimania also offers a variety of freshly baked goods. On my visit, I tried their Pistachio and Apricot Vegan Cake which was absolutely delicious! It was moist and flavorful, with just the right amount of sweetness.

Overall, I had a wonderful experience at Scandimania Coffee House in Stamford. From the friendly staff to the delicious food and drinks, I would highly recommend this cafe to anyone looking for a cozy spot to enjoy some great coffee and...

What a little gem in the middle of Stamford.

First of all, the coffee is great. Good extraction - not bitter or sour, tasted fresh and well made. The coffee menu could do with expanding to maybe more specialist types (v60, Chemex) but that’s just a personal suggestion. Nevertheless, what they’ve got on the menu at the moment is lovely.

Food wise, only tried their limited toasted sandwich menu (due to covid) but was not disappointed. Great mix of flavours, tasted fresh and very filling.

I also appreciate their packaging, which seemed to use minimal plastic and their incentive to not give cup lids as standard but rather indicate where they’re placed to reduce waste.
