Top level Crews!
Cycling through Stamford on this fine spring Sunday has been nothing short of delightful, especially since I've been darting back and forth between the bustling McDonald's at the retail park and the eager customers awaiting their meals. I've got to hand it to the team at this establishment; they've won my admiration. Every staff member I've interacted with has been incredibly supportive and upbeat, but I've got to give a particular shoutout to David in customer care. The guy's an absolute McStar! Always has a genuine smile plastered across his face, radiating positivity, and you can tell he genuinely cares about making sure both us delivery folks and the customers are happy. Iāve even had offered water do hydrate myself. Thanks for this. Itās more than just a ālittle thingā :) this proves how important is my safety for franchise owner- many thanks for this one!
The restaurant itself? Spotless. And that's saying something, considering the foot traffic they get. The facilities are clean, including the toilets, which is always a relief when you're on the go all day. The parking lot is well-maintained, too. I've noticed there's no particular reverse parking policy in place here, which is neither here nor there for me as a cyclist, but it's something to note. And for those who need it, there are disabled parking spots readily available.
When it comes to wait times, I can't complain. On average, I'm seeing orders ready to go within 3 to 10 minutes. That's pretty efficient, considering the volume they deal with. And I've got to say, I haven't had a single spillage, which I attribute to the double-lidded drinks. It might just be my own little theory, but it's holding up!
However, if there's one thing I'd love to see improved, it's the addition of a bike rail. As it stands, I'm locking my bike to a nearby fence or lamp post, which isn't ideal. I haven't come across many other cyclists here, so perhaps the demand hasn't been high enough to warrant one. But I can't help but think it would be a considerate touch for us two-wheeled delivery partners.
Overall, my experience with McDonald's in Stamford retail park has been top-notch, a solid 5/5. They've got the whole package: efficiency, cleanliness, and a team that's as friendly as they come. Kudos to the entire crew here at McDonald's Stamford ā you're doing an...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNot very often I have a maccyds, as I call it, last one was in 2020 so a bit of a treat after a trying time at work and I really didnāt want to stand and cook anymore. I do like a Big Mac once in a blue moon. I remember as an 18 year old when I struggled to get my mouth around a Big Mac meal at Ā£2.88 constantly wiping my face which was full of sauce the lovely burger and I was happily stuffed, to now eating a Big Mac meal and extras at Ā£8.48 with no facial accidents which I used to enjoy! Oh well, maybe my gob has got bigger or Iāve mastered the art of eating a macccyds with absolute decorum that Iāve been able to develop a burger etiquette or been able to expand my usually verbal hole that Iāve forgotten how to keep a little quieter over the years but none the less I somehow feel a little dissatisfied recently š I love a Big Mac with itās succulent burgers and beautiful sauces and I love the gherkins (I want gherkins on the side too) and I love the voices that speak to me through the tannoy system and the lady or gentlemen that takes my money, all happy and smiling behind a mask that many of us have had to get used to over the last year, but then I get to the delivery counter and awaiting my meal when the most unhappy and I canāt wait to get out of here lady (Iāll call her that because Iām polite) ensures your order is packed and handed to me. I smile and say thank you very much only to be met with eyes (blue steely eyes) that look at me as if to say, donāt speak to me, and walk away, not a kind word in sight, shame really, especially after the torrid year weāve all had, kindness should be expressed even behind a mask, to make us all feel good about ourselves and each other, but obviously this lady has forgotten that, some of us have worked throughout and sacrificed a lot and weāre glad to have you back and with a willingness to keep you going regardless of what is going on in our lives, just the friendly eyes and thank you is all it would have taken to help me through a difficult day, oh well 3rd time lucky? Iām keeping...
