Miss Ellie's Cafe — Restaurant in Southampton

Very impressed for a small cafe from customer service to quality. We were seated and when asked about ordering I checked to see if the vegetarian sausages might be GF after assuming they wouldn't offer an alternative naturally. I didn't expect they would be, and it turned out they weren't but they did in fact offer and GF version sausage for their breakfast anyway. Was very pleased. They let me know they didn't have any GF bread available, only after having gone to check the shops (amazing, very much appreciate going above like that) but it just so happened I had some in the car after a food shop that they were more than happy to toast and serve with my breakfast for me. This is a tiny little place in Bitterne Triangle and has a lovely atmosphere and very friendly staff.

I didn't eat on this visit but enjoyed a cracking cappuccino. My friend had the same and also the carrot cake, which apparently is to be recommended!

Will update rating when I've had a meal there. The food looked and smelled great though!

We are in Southampton for a flying visit and stumbled across this absolute GEM of a cafe.

The full breakfast can be adapted for a gluten free diet which was absolutely delicious. The breakfasts are cooked fresh and presentation is superb.

The staff are so so friendly, especially Stuart the owner. The atmosphere is just fab. The cafe is spotlessly clean too.
