It was a match day in Southampton so the place was absolutely rammed packed, but managed to find the last table outside by the entrance! They had loads of staff serving, so service was pretty quick when they were so busy. Food arrived speedily too, hot and tasty. (Comment about smokers, not the pub: A group of customers who decided stand by the entrance right by our table to smoke! The wind was blowing in our direction too! 😳 There were other diners behind us too. Luckily, they finished before food arrived, otherwise, I would definitely say something although I wasn't happy with the smoke billowing towards me before. Other smokers moved to the other side of the entrance, the pavements near the road. Much more considerate!)

Ordered breakfast and was told there would be a 20-30 minute wait on food. That's fine. Ended up waiting over an hour for breakfast, by which point it was nearly 1pm! My girlfriend's bacon was undercooked, and as you can see from my picture, my "toast" was just bread. Not only that, but our breakfasts were delivered without hash browns with no explanation. Had to track down a member of stuff who just said they'd run out (would've been nice if they said this when we were ordering) and offered to bring us another egg. The egg was delivered long after we finished eating the rest of our breakfasts. I understand that this is a cheap place to eat, but I normally get reasonable food in a reasonable time.

I would love to give this place 3 stars as the food was 'ok' but I can't bring myself to give it more than 2. The staff were great but the pub itself was absolutely filthy, including the smell of weed that floated through the venue! I would like to say, "typical spoons" but I don't think it was....or was it?!?! Picture attached is the mouldy ceiling above where we were eating. We had planned to revisit for breakfast but there's absolutely no chance I'm risking it twice in 24 hours. Good job there's not a pandemic going on! Hand sanitizer was a nice touch. Never again.... untill the next time 😂

Ordered a couple of drinks via the app which arrived swiftly then decided to order a medium rare steak with another drink again the drink turned up quickly but no mention the food would take 45 minutes best of it they weren't that busy, anyway after 35 to 40 minutes I asked where my food was and if by miracle it turned up but the steak was well done and it came with mushy peas? Ffs who would send a dish out like this, the management and chef should be ashamed, its been another half hour now and am still waiting for someone to come over and ask how my meal is.....
