Went to Burger King St Helens this evening. Around 9pm, wanted to try the new Wagu burger, got in there, staff member blocked off the whole restaurant for seats to clean, fair enough, but nowhere to sit whilst I waited for my order, not a big deal in a "fast food restaurant" yet did I know it was anything but. 5 uber delivery driver waiting for their orders, as in most places these days, they take priority, but even they were getting frustrated with the wait. One complained and got sworn at by the lady closing off the restaurant for seats, yet they were still open, he was rude, but the professionalism clearly went out the window with how to deal with him. I was in hospitality for years when I was younger, and that is not how you deal with rude people. Not matter how they act, he was rude, not abusive or violent. My order got out up on the screen for collection, I recieved my food 18 minutes later. Spending so much money on a premium burger meal for this wait was unacceptable, I also didn't chase my order after seeing the dressing down the delivery driver got for asking about his. I didn't want the drama so I just politely waited. They did apologise when they realised my order had been missed, which i appreciated, but watching staff from distance i could see why the establishment where so unorganised. No professionalism, no order, no urgency, just people with no regard for service or standards. Ate my food in the car, had to ask for napkins as I new i wouldn't get any without asking, their was barely any sauce on the expensive burger, not really a surprise, as i saw the cook in the back trying to squirt the bottle at the end of it being empty, and rather than filling it up or getting a new one, he just wrapped the burger up, hence it was pretty dry. Just all round disappointed. I contemplated going for my usual Subway, I wish I had, would of got served my food a lot quicker, and for a third...
Read moreFirstly, I love Burger King food but after 3 shocking visits to St Helens in the past few months, I will need to find another outlet.
I visited last Saturday at 4pm. After sitting in the Drive-Thru queue for 10minutes, I had to reverse out and go inside to order. I then waited 25 minutes to get my food. It was just a standard burger, nothing unusual, so why did it take so long?
I counted 4 staff, 2 of whom spent most of the time looking inside the paper bags, taking the contents out and putting them in other bags. There was no acknowledgment whatsoever to the length of time I and many others had been waiting; I didn’t even receive an apology when my order was finally handed over.
There appears to be no one in charge, no organisation and no pride in the store. Such a shame when BK food is so good.
I’m not a fan of leaving bad reviews but the powers that be need to sort this out or close it down.
Another frustrated customer suggested going to the Winwick BK, as they are the...
Read moreI rate this 2* for the fact customer service from the cashier was great.
Visited the store at 8pm, half dining area was closed off while half open with the majority of tables dirty and stained, the condiment station was dirty, the lighting outside the store was poor the burger king sign didbt even light up, if a major restaurant chain cannot fix basics such as lighting in the front of store I am scared for the care in the kitchen and standards back there.
The freestyle machine had about 7 missing drinks that were empty, the cashier offered to restock them but this should be done during the day and not left to run dry, bins were overflowing.
Food was ok, not the best nor the worst, bacon was stringy and fries were cold, had to remove bacon off the burger and it tasted much better.
Would not recommend if you wish to eat in a...
