I wrote a rave review of the Customer Service people on the reception and the manager around June time, this year They gave me a lot of help with my dog who I.d left outside, and had become very ill. Unfortunately, I have to change this after I visited aprox 3 weeks ago. I was taking a pair of trousers back and was amazed when I was asked to give my tesco's card over so that they could take the points off that were given when I bought them. Considering the amount of times this club card hasnt scanned when I've bought petrol at the self serve or just not had the card with me, it seems measly and not an appreciation of the customer. The young guy told me that its because some people buy goods then keep returning them in order to get these points. To be honest, I think that's Bulls..tm because if anyone is prepared to do this constant returning of goods for points, then - what a pity, they probably need some mental health help !! Anyhow, we wouldnt want Tesco's CEO and it's major share holders to go without; it may take a half hour of expenditure from their yacht time.
As if this wasn't pathetic enough, when I was leaving the store, I noticed a car had it's lights still on. Being the good citizen, I noted the car registration and colour and then told the young gu, as above, about it and suggested they put a tannoy message out. Incredibly hje couldnt do this because they have been instructed that they are not to put such messages out. He offered to come with me whilst I showed him which car it was. By now I'd had enough of being in the lunatic asylum and I'm sorry if somebody's battery ran out, but I was afraid if I was to stay any longer I midht get...
Read moreVery disappointed with my weekly shop. The fresh meat isle was completely closed. Again they appear to have issues with the fridges. There was no explanation, signs etc to advise why. No sorry for any inconvenience no nothing. I understand things break down however I would like to point out there have been fridge and freezer issues for 18 months or more. The loss in revenue must be huge. Come on Tesco, you can do better than this. Also, they have installed security cabinets in the alcohol isle. I understand the importance of such measures but each bottle also have tags. You have to swipe a screen then wait until the light goes green before being able to open the door. Frustrating is the kindest thing I can say about this idea. By the way, the security tags on the bottles within the cabinets also make a high pitch noise when if tampered with (Not that I have tampered with them). The noise they make is awful and no one seems to respond to it. Customers or staff alike?? There must be a better way to be secure than annoying your customers surely. Finally I would like to mention the car park, it's huge but had a major problem, it really needs all the road markings repainted as in the rain is impossible to see them, very surprised there hasnt yet been an accident tbh. I hate writing this as I actually really like this store, the staff are great, the guys in the Chemist are truly fantastic. I just feel they are being let down by...
Read moreUsually get the very best of service from the pleasant self-scan staff, Pat, Deb, Chris and others! However, today the self-scan was closed for maintenance so I used the regular checkouts, where I was subjected to rude, abrupt and discourteous attitude by TONI, who I believe is one of the checkout supervisors. In brief, a checkout was faulty and should have been closed, however the operator wasn't aware and positioned himself for service. I unloaded a full conveyor belts worth of shopping before being approached by 'Toni' who announced, in a shrill voice loud enough to wake the dead, that I had to reload my shopping trolley and use a different till. Somewhat frustrated I complained that surely a faulty till should be properly labelled as such to avoid this exact situation. At this juncture, and as I was loading my trolley back up, she decided it would be a good idea to begin "launching" my shopping back into my trolley like a cricket fast bowler completely oblivious of fragile items or segregation of products. When I told her to stop, and that I wasn't happy with her attitude she told be that was fine and proceeded to lecture me on the difficulties of her job, as though that made her behaviour acceptable. I will continue to shop here as the other staff are brilliant, but I will be avoiding this unpleasant individual...
