Nice food, but clientèle were undesirable. 1pm on a Friday supping pints, swearing and being loud doesn't attract customers, and increases the chances of no return. Need to sort out the sticky tables too. Staff are great though.

Sunday 14th July. Euro Final Day so every table was reserved. However instead of putting us (party of four today) somewhere quiet, they put us (literally) on top of another party (of 12). Huge place, literally empty and stuck us all together. Bizarre. And the other party were unbelievably loud.

Atmosphere was drab. Every single screen was displaying darts re-runs from the 1990's whilst the Wimbledon final was being played. Again, bizarre!

The food was fine and arrived quickly as it was quiet. Lots of it too. I had a quadruple burger which was simply huge if a little bland with the dressing! 😊 My wife had the Sunday roast which looked lovely. The carvery area has gone (why?) so it came as they saw it and extras such as cauliflower cheese are now an extra. On ordering, I was challenged for purchasing two bottles of cider for our eldest. He's 21. I've never, ever been challenged for purchasing an alcoholic drink for another prior to this, as I'd mark myself down as a poor parent by feeding alcohol to an underage child. Not content with challenging my ethics, they asked to see him which meant walking all the way back to the cramped corner and embarrassingly request his presence before walking him back. They then didn't ask to see his identification. I was nonplussed by this (but not angry) as I asked if they'd challenge me if I drank six pints with my meal, then left and got into my car to drive home, and they said of course not. Seems morals and ethics may be left at the door under certain circumstances.

Facilities and kid friendliness is still top notch, but another frustrating trip there with what happened at the start, and being lumped with a very large noisy party when there were empty tables everywhere.

Really nice to get out, but I don't think I'll be returning...

Me and my partner came in tonight at roughly 7pm the atmosphere was nice and people was smiling and the staff were fun and welcoming so I can’t say anything about that but the food was inedible. We had: Garlic bread Salt pepper wings Sweet chili chicken strips Salt and pepper chicken strips (until they came out and they was just sweet chili chicken strips which when we sent them back the chef or the person who took them to the kitchen just put salt and pepper seasoning on them which made them taste odd)

We could move past that because it’s a simple mistake and working in hospitality myself I understand that people make mistakes, until the mains came out

I had-Korean chicken burger, which tasted like it was burnt and it was just sloppy chicken and very gooey, the chips had wayyyyy to much salt and pepper seasoning on them (I’m guessing it’s salt and pepper seasoning) the onion rings just tasted like a freezer bag from Iceland so overall my meal was bad

My partner had- the mighty mixed grill, this was the worse of it all (as you’ll see from the photos below) the steak was the size of an onion ring and very dry and was hard as a rock, the chicken. It was cooked and then they microwaved it nothing can change my mind, the gammon, OH MY GOD I COULD KNOCK SOMEONE OUT WITH THAT the sausages were eh, alright but tasteless. Now the worse part. Pepper corn sauce. Can someone tell me why it looked like someone took a poo in that dish? It tasted like fairy liquid, was definitely burnt. We didn’t eat half the meal as it made us genuinely gag. I’ve never ate at a place and the food made me gag. Was just an awful experience

Never will we come back again, I wasn’t able to get a refund for the food but overall it was just horrific how someone could...

Absolutely shocking customer service by the manager tonight. We were made to feel completely humiliated and embarrassed during our visit. Our food order came out wrong and when we tried to have this rectified the manager at first sent a staff member to tell us they would not refund it and then when the manager came to our table as I was not happy with this she blatantly lied to us and told us it was what we ordered and lied about how long the food had been on the table, she told us we had had the food for 30 minutes which was completely false as we had only placed our order less than 30 minutes prior. When I showed the manager the email confirmation of what we ordered (which was correct) she told me it was not their fault that it came out completely wrong. We were offered a free dessert or drink as compensation but declined as we already had a drink and are lactose intolerant so could have only had a scoop of vegan ice cream which was not reflective of the £10 we had spent on a steak which we returned completely untouched. Reluctantly after a lot of back and forth and having all the nearby tables staring at us the manager agreed to refund the steak. Overall a shocking experience and completely appalling customer service on the managers behalf. Will not be returning whilst you employee such rude staff who think this kind of behaviour...

Not somewhere myself or my friend will be visiting again. Very poor !!! Hair in my friends little girls food. Got the order wrong. My friends cheesy chips were rock hard and cheese just thrown on top and not melted. The lemon piece in the coke wasnt very pleasing. My chicken burger came with cheese on and never asked for it and the bun had a tiny amount of relish. Wouldnt of bothered with it.Asked for cheesy chips and got fries in a metal bucket!! The bottom of the bucket was rusty!! Pics attached. Toilets had toilet paper stuck to the roof and windows!! They might of refurbished the place but why take childrens play area out. I asked about this and they said play area was outside. Who wants their little one playing outside in the cold and rain??? Think the money has been spent in the wrong place!! Oh and childrens sausages had a peppery kick to them, no wonder my friends little girl didnt eat them. Never again will I spend any money there!!!

Came to watch the Womens UEFA final between England and Germany and throughly enjoyed our Sunday. We downloaded the season ticket app which gave us a free drink so we decided to order lunch while we waited. I had the cheeseburger meal which was average, nothing to rave home about and my partner had the stacked chicken burger which was HUGE! The menu is very affordable and they have multiple deals to choose from as well desserts and slushies. The venue is children’s friendly with tv screens in booths as well as a playground for them. With the pub specialising in sports, they have a designated 18+ area and screens throughout. Outside has seats also and a large screen to view matches.. so perfect in summer! The location is convenient and there’s plenty parking spaces even on a busy Sunday. If you don’t mind average pub grub
