Decided to have lunch here today as I wanted something light. I ordered the light bite crepe with a 'runny' poached egg, hollandaise sauce and spinach 40 minutes before I received my food! Was not busy, a few people eating outside, a couple inside. The first time that I queried the wait, I was informed that the kitchen were 'having trouble with my egg' ???!! I waited longer and witnessed at least 3 meals being served to other diners who had arrived after me and ordered after me??? A different member of staff then informed me that they had 'a trainee in the kitchen and that they had lost my ticket' I would of appreciated some honesty in the beginning, as new staff do need time when training, plus the staffing difficulties within the hospitality sector currently which I completely understand. There appeared to be adequate members of staff front of house who spent a lot of time chatting or just standing around / unclear as to what they should be doing? FINALLY my food arrived. I had expected the ingredients to be inside my crepe as it stated that it was served as a rolled crepe? It was NOT a crepe. More like a thick tortilla. Served cold with nothing inside it? The ' runny' poached egg was over cooked and dumped on top of the crepe. There was a teaspoonful of cold hollandaise sauce, ( no doubt from a jar), I had expected wilted spinach inside the crepe. What I actually got was 4 individual leaves of raw spinach thrown on the top? Everything was cold and extremely bland. I was charged £ 7 for this??! Unfortunately I was not able to challenge the quality of the meal at the time, as despite the ridiculous time delay, not one member of staff bothered to ask me how my food was. I used the toilet before leaving which was disgusting. Strange ' chemical ' smell, dirty seat that was falling off, long hairs all over the sink, floor covered in what I assumed was water? No hooks on the door to hang my bag on As I was leaving, I looked towards the staff at the serving station, however, no one acknowledged me as they were deep in conversation with each other. APPALLING customer service and food! AVOID ...

me and my friend had previously been last year and enjoyed it so we decided to go again after seeing they did a mega share board. not only did it arrive luke warm and nothing like the advertisement pictures, but it was missing 3 of the toppings listed and the brownies were rock hard. this was after waiting 30 minutes for it to arrive (we were the only people in there). the chef was blasting loud music from the kitchen which ruined the relaxing atmosphere in the restaurant area. this is no reflection on the waitress we had though as when we raised the issue with the board, she did bring it them over and was apologetic. but we did overhear her having to show the chef where the missing items were… (so one would presume the “chef” was new and not trained adequately). the “sharing board” had one small waffle, a small pancake, two small brownies, marshmallows and a handful of strawberries… (with the brownies, pancake, waffle and marshmallows being burnt) so i struggle to understand how it took so long especially for it to still arrive missing half the items and only slightly warm. overall, very...

I'm usually really positive about the places I visit, but this was a total letdown. Firstly it was raining and we had our dogs with us so we entered via the outdoor seating entrance and took a seat. I went in to order for the family and was left waiting ages to be spoken to as they had clearly been busy. I ordered 3 nutella pancakes, one hot chocolate, one cappuccino, and an orange juice £41!! Maybe it's just me, but that seemed extremely expensive for pretty much 3 pancakes. I was then advised that I shouldn't have seated myself as it was host service only, quizzed about my table number ( despite NONE of the tables outside having numbers on them). Generally made to feel very unwelcome and the fact that there wasn't even a host anywhere to be seen was infuriating. I suggest that if you don't want people entering via the outside space , you block the entrance , see pic. Also, if customers MUST be seated via a host that you actually put some signs up as none were present. None of this will affect me, of course, as we will definitely not be returning!

P.s. pancakes were...

Waited an hour for a waffle tray, and even then it came stone cold. The tray then got swapped out for a lukewarm one and after an hour of being in there we couldn’t be bothered asking again. The promotional photos look nothing like what you actually received. Not to mention the flocks of wasps whilst you’re trying to eat. Definitely understaffed in the kitchen, either increase staff or reduce the amount of people you seat. Amusing to see owners/managers filming/taking promotional photos/videos whilst their business is actually in shambles, waste of money and waste of time. If you go expect the hour wait and to send your cold food back, almost everyone did when we went. Had nicer waffles and pancakes out of a pre-made mix.

We visited here today for some breakfast and a coffee. Firstly they have now blocked off the outside area so there is no confusion where to enter. At the entrance is a sign asking you to wait to be seated. We were promptly taken to our table by the staff who was super friendly, told us the table number, the deals on and where to order. £24 for a chick it out, french crepes, lemon and blueberry cake, Americano and a mocha (it was a Friday) which was great value for what we got. Food and drinks were amazing and we would go back! Very much enjoyed our visit here.
