Branch bursting with people, so no place to sit after ordering on the app to eat in, went to the till while order was about to be prepared to ask to change it to collection, then a member of staff ( older woman called MICHELLE ) literally screamed in my ear in front of everybody ( please look at your cctv ) to move so she could go through behind the counter, I've turned around in disbelief to find this confrontational angry woman that pushed past me and my 4 young children abruptly being abusive about me being in her way. Few seconds later she passed by me again so I stopped her to explain that I didn't realise I was in her way and there's was no need for her to scream at me the way she did, instead of apologising for her despicable lack of manners , she again shouted in my face in front of other customers in an aggressive manner that she had said excuse me 4 times, which I didn't hear neither my husband which was stood directly behind me. I then proceeded to say there was no need to be so rude, and her response was to shout even more and walk away. Spoke to the manager which was polite and apologised for her behaviour, but honestly a person like that woman should not work in retail or customer service, I'm sure I'm not the first costumer mistreated by her. What if I had a hearing or visual impairment? Which I dont, but like my children I have a neurodiversity where I have a slower information processing time than most people, I did'nt deserve to be treated like that in front of my children. Please do not allow this angry confrontational woman to carry on screaming at people that don't respond to her...
Read moreDO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILDREN HERE. I was mortified to hear about my cousins visit to the stevenage leisure park mcdonalds. On the 30th Dec 2016 my cousin took her 3 children out to mcdonalds for a meal before heading over to Hollywood bowl. This was meant as a birthday outting and was completely ruined by the negligence of this particular mcdonalds. As my cousin proceeding to sit down and eat with the kids, she and the children found themselves unable to finish their food. The stench of something was unbearable. It was only when my cousin picked up her handbag she realised what and where the smell was coming from. My cousin could only describe it as HUMAN POO. That's right, all over her boots, handbag and mcdonalds floor. My cousin notified the staff who simply shrugged it off, attempted to wipe her bag over but only ended up smearing the poo around and ruining it. After notifying a manager they said they were unaware of the situation. Nothing was done about this, the area was not cornered off for cleaning. This is absolutely disgusting from what is supposed to be a reputable restaurant. The manager was emailed almost 2 weeks ago now and again at the weekend and my cousin has still had no response. She then had to proceed over to Hollywood bowl with 3 kids feeling disgusting, with ruined boots and a ruined hand bag. Total understatement to say that the kids and her evening was ruined. Way to ruin it...
Read moreVery poor layout, focuses more on the younger generation with the tablet computers built into tables and tall bar style seating. Yes McDonald's is good value for children and has always been an exciting place for them but not everyone wants to hear screaming children while they eat.
Seating is poor and doesn't accommodate those with joint problems or the disabled, the bench seating is connected so you get shoved around by the person behind you, not appropriate for someone with advanced nerve damage. I used to frequent this restaurant with my mum, (she is disabled and has several mobility problems) but we now sit in the car to eat as it is difficult for her to find a suitable seat without being bashed around by buggies or children bouncing around on the seats. The bar style seats aren't an option either as she is unable to get up onto them.
Restrooms are clean and tidy, always stocked up with soap and toilet paper.
Service is fairly quick, we have had the odd mishap where a meal is missing but this goes for any McDonald's, everyone makes mistakes.
Overall, if you're part of the younger generation or have a family with children, this is the place for you. If you're looking for a calmer place to eat or have family members who are physically disabled, I wouldn't recommend this place. It's too cramped and seating...
