Best burgers this side of New York! I came in with a family group of several people including an elderly relative and a younger family member who has some learning disabilities and food allergy restrictions. Karen and Tania made us feel so very welcome and went out of their way to provide a beautiful meal we could all enjoy. Being a bit of a n ale connoisseur, we had little tasters brought to the table so we could choose which drinks we'd like to order. After the main course which was delicious, I asked about the ingredients in the vegan ice cream and Karen even showed me the tub so I could see any potential allergies. The toilets were spotless and had easy access to disabled facilities. As it became early evening, some upbeat and ambient music was heard, which along with the subtle and warm lighting, made our regular weekly meal out together as a family an unexpectedly extra pleasurable experience. It felt like an early Christmas treat.! Karen was so attentive to us and other guests, she made being busy look easy and somehow seemed to find the time to make every customer feel welcome. Well done Karen and the team I'd recommend the Bulls Head in Marple to anyone looking for delicious, wholesome food, good ale, and a warm, cosy and welcoming environment. Absolutely 5 stars all...

Would love to love this place as it is so local to us but would struggle to recommend this based on our experience of wait times (especially to those with younger children).

Went in just after 12 as a family with a 7 and 1 year old. After having drinks almost immediately, it then took around 20 minutes to see someone again and order our food. This meant that the kitchen was much busier by the time we ordered and tables who came in after us were ordered and receiving food before us. The pub uses a buzzer system for table service, so I'm not sure if this was faulty as we pressed it about 5-6 times, but there was also no one looking over to get their attention either. It was getting increasingly difficult to entertain a one year old with no knowledge of when food could be ordered let alone arrive! Only a handful of tables in whilst waiting to order, so not busy, but the two staff members in were both making and serving drinks at times, and not coming by to check on tables tucked away that may be ready to order. The buzzer system would be great if it definitely works but have lost faith in it after today so would...

My husband and I were in Marple today to do our shopping. One of the shop owners couldn’t speak highly enough about the newly renovated Bulls Head. We decided to go for a drink and lunch on finishing our shopping at 1.30. I am on crutches but was able to ascend the steps leading to the main doorway , as there wasn’t an obvious entrance for people with mobility issues, where we were greeted by a member of staff who asked if we had booked to have a drink( we were prepared to go into the outside area.) As a result we duly left. On the information boards outside, there was nothing to inform potential patrons that a booking was required and also that on this occasion the pub was fully booked. As we went back to the car park , the outside area was empty and we would have been very prepared to sit out there. We were very disappointed and would have appreciated a little more explanation from the staff member who greeted us. We have learned our lesson and if in the area we will be sure to book first , even for...

The food was not good for the amount they charge. I got the chicken gyros and salt and pepper chips. The chicken was burnt and all I could taste was burn so it wasn't edible, my friend who will eat anything ended up having it. The salt and pepper chips were just chips with sweet chilli sauce on so didn't taste anything like salt and pepper. Chips don't come with any of the mains, granted you get chips inside gyros but none of the burgers come with chips, so it ends up costing £21 for a meal which is an extortionate price for the quality of food.

Wow, this is a far cry from the old Bull. Lovely decor, great music and good food with locally sourced products and, of course, Robinson's ale. Hope you don't mind constructive criticism 🙂 Menu could do with enlarging. Very small print. The chef could rethink the beetroot and goats cheese salad. Massive portion of goats cheese. 1 slice and a third ingredient would be better. Very fresh and lovely flavours though. I will definitely give the Bulls Head another try.

We ambled in after a short walk to the Garden House on the other side of town, about a 10 minute walk away. It was raining and we needed ourselves a bite to eat and they accommodated us very nicely! The vegan menu was massive, which gave us plenty of options to choose from! The lady who looked after us was kind and attentive and we left feeling like future trips to Marple will be incomplete without a visit to the Bull’s Head
