Around 15-20 years ago this used to be an excellent restaurant, the food and atmosphere were exceptional and we were regular visitors, however, nothing ever lasts and about 10 years ago it went down hill and we eventually stopped going. Since then we have been back 2 or 3 times, our most recent visit this last week. What can I say, the food was okay without being great, granted the service was good but the atmosphere was underwhelming and I thought the prices were high for what we had, the real kicker being a 10 percent service charge. Did we get value for money, certainly not and we won't be rushing back which is a great shame as we used to love this place but there are other establishments close by that are in our opinion...

A family run restaurant that delivers to incredibly high standards, has come in for unfair criticism due to the PM showing up there for an unannounced meeting. Look at the ratings prior to his visit for a fairer view of this great establishment. Hating him is fine, him and his mates have destroyed the country but don’t let him destroy this business.

Read moreFirst visit and very pleased.. Will definitely call again. There were 3 birthday parties upstairs last night. We were a party of 8 celebrating my wife’s 76 th birthday. I bought her a small cake and a few candles which was delivered by the lovely staff. My family laughed at the size of my cake but it sufficed. Next table were a party of maybe 14/15, Their cake came and it was enormous with what looked like a NASA rocket on top. We had tears of laughter on our table, even the waiters were laughing.
