This was our first time here and we loved it.

We were out quite late after a gallery visit and were in search of food. We had literally been to about 4/5 places in search of good food. All of which were closed and closing. We came to Terra & Mare at about 9:30 asking if they could squeeze us in. We were very relieved when lovely staff checked for us and said we could still eat. We were incredibly grateful.

We have to say that we were very glad all the other places turned us down. We are newly moved to the area and might not have stumbled in this direction otherwise.

The staff were so welcoming and friendly. The place has such a warm atmosphere, we felt very happy being here.

The food was better than we could have hoped for too. My partner picked the duck pate and I the garlic bread. It was fresh, hot and just absolutely delicious. We both chose the lasagne. This came piping hot with lovely bubbling sauce in the pan. Lots of Parmesan and pepper from the kind waiting staff. The sauce has such a good flavour without being too tomatoey or acidic. The balance of meat and pasta sheets was perfect. Oh, and almost forgot the wine was delish too! 🤤

As we’d arrived so late, we ordered a tiramisu to-go. And that didn’t last too long either. 🥰

We went to Terra & Mare on Christmas Day and it was absolutely amazing.

I was in charge of booking a restaurant for our family Christmas Day meal. I found Terra & Mare online, and although the reviews were excellent, I was still a little apprehensive because I had never eaten there before and I just wanted everything to be perfect for ourselves and my parents.

Well, thanks to all of the amazing staff at the Terra & Mare our Christmas Day was absolutely perfect.

From the second that we walked through their doors, you could tell that you were in great hands. They immediately took our jackets and sat us at our table, then within a minute or two they brought us some drinks over. Every single member of staff was so attentive and couldn't do enough for you, and they did it all with a huge smile on their face.

There were five of us in our party, and each and every course that we had was absolutely delicious, and there was nothing that you could fault.

This was the first time that we had managed to be together as a family at Christmas for three years, so thank you to everyone at the Terra & Mare for helping to make this one...
