Update 21/09/25 - the name may have changed but that's it. Everything else is the same, as in excellent - We came for brunch today which, again, was just as good as expected. And we've never had bad service and today was no exception. The Casa team have just got it right, which is probably why it's always busy - great stuff.
I've been three times over the last month, twice for dinner and today for lunch, and the food has been excellent on all occasions. I had tapas on the times we had dinner and it was consistently good in terms of quality and quantity. If forced to pick a highlight I'd probably go for the lamb chops but all the dishes were good and there was sixteen overall covering fish, meat and vegetarian (4 people, 4 dishes each) - we were very full afterwards.
At lunch the two of us both had the Mediterranean breakfast, one veggie one meat. This I will definitely have again - excellent variety of tasty dishes including veg or Mediterranean sausage, houmous, feta, halloumi, salad, olives, honey and bread.
Efficient & friendly service and a nice clean establishment - definitely a first choice for me in Heaton Moor. Looking forward to...
Read moreHaving read your Corona Virus update on your website, I was amused at the irony of your establishment asking public to be "polite" towards your staff. I phoned in to enquire whether it's possible to book a table, only to be told in a very rude manner, by a member of your staff with Spanish accent, that I could not. He further said" fully booked every day after 5", offering no explanation whatsoever, before putting the phone down on me ?!!! Seriously what is wrong with you people. Public are coming to dine out to support local business, so certainly that update you have written asking public to be polite towards your staff, needs an update on how to be courteous towards customers. I think your establishment has projected their lack of manners onto customers. I won't bother spending money at your place, nor do I recommend you to anyone else. Lucky, there's plenty of other choices in our Heaton Moor, with far better levels of respect...
Read moreI decided to try somewhere different to eat and love Tapas so checked out the reviews on here and it seemed pretty positive. So I visited mid-Sunday afternoon and it was relatively busy with a decent atmosphere. The service was good and very friendly and I was looking forward to some good food and wine. The menu itself is 'mainly' Spanish but the wine list was really disappointing. Apart from the house wine which wasn't identified there were no Spanish white wines on the list and only one red...a standard Rioja on the list of 20 or so choices. The food was ok...with the chicken piri piri particularly good. The sauce with the Albondigas was excellent, rich and flavoursome, whilst the Gambas prawns were tasty but there was too much oil. I guess with the mix of people in Heaton Moor the restaurant needs to cater for a wide range of tastes, but I didn't feel this was 'an authentic'...
