Buon Cibo Italian Restaurant Heaton Moor — Restaurant in Stockport

Went to Buon Cibo on Shaw Road on a Friday evening. We hadn't booked but luckily there was a table for 2 available. We're so glad that we popped in. From the first greeting the service from all staff members was excellent. We couldn't decide which wine to choose so we were given small tasters of a selection before we purchased, and we were only having a glass which was incredibly kind of the owner. The pasta dishes we both had were gorgeous. I love my pasta and this meal was nicer than I have had in any Italian,including those in Italy. For desert we had the Cannoli which was delicious too. Food was fabulous. Although slow to clear table in between courses. Service was really poor. Drinks ordered but never came - had to chase water an hour after asking. Ordered deserts and when we asked where it was we were told they didn’t have it. It was on the bill still. We were told we couldn’t order any more drinks as they were too busy so would have to wait! Were offered free cocktail as apology but it never came. Not enough experienced staff for a Saturday night. Still added 10% service charge which we paid but probably shouldn’t have. I ordered a takeout and I wanted double anchovies and double pineapple on my pizza but the restaurant never had the option available on deliveroo but soon as I called in and aked what shall i do? they was so helpful and told me exactly what I need to do to make this possible then they went the extra mile to make sure I received it on time because I lived 20 mins away then they also send an extra garlic bread with cheese, small businesses need more support and and we all need to do more, thankyou...
