Ali Baba's Restaurant — Restaurant in Stoke-on-Trent

I was at a conference nearby and stumbled into this place at closing time, the owner was nice enough to let us dine in (despite it being past final orders).

I’m so glad I got to try this, because I can’t fault a single thing.

The lamb and chicken balti was genuinely some of the best (if not the best) Indian food I’ve ever had.

I decided going to this place based on the reviews, as opposed to how the inside looked (which I know might put some people off), but at the end of the day, your going to a restaurant to eat.

The service by the owner was faultless, easy to see why they have been in business for over 20 years.

Ali Baba's is fantastic Yaz is a friendly man and I have been there twice and I went there the other week for my brother's eighteenth birthday and when I first went in there the first time I thought this is going be crap what a dump it looked like it hasn't been decorate for years and when you have the food you think it's fantastic.The food is fantastic and his curries are fantastic and I would recommend the place because the staff are friendly I recon Ali Baba's is the best curry house around in Stoke-On-Trent.I have tried the Saghir Express in Longton but now since I've tried Ali Baba's I think that's better...

Great secret place, tho I could see it not being everyone's cut of tea. Nice little preset menu which is basically Balti 3 different ways, chicken, lamb or mixed veg. With either N'bread or rice as well as a beer or house wine, icecream or coffee. 5.99! Great to either start the night or end the night. Not the most glamorous of places and I didn't visit the loos so I have no idea what they are like but the place was rammed so that must count for s'thing.
