As you can probably read from other comments. 1 star is definitely far too much.
i ordered from the restaurant at 12pm. i had to leave the house at 2pm but i thought that this wouldnt be an issue. how wrong i was. 1.33pm the food should have been delivered. i have been calling the takeaway and i had also been chatting with Foodhub who were no help. they couldnt contact the place either.
2pm came around and i had to go otherwise i would have been late.
i recieved some missed calls which turned out to be the delivery driver.
i eventually got into contact with someone from the cafe. they werent helpful at all. i explained the situation and requested a refund. i was told to go back to food hub for it. the takeaway then refused the refund after food hub requested it.
im still currently trying to get my money back. the food was left outside on my door step and is ice cold and the driver must have dropped it too as all the food and beans have spilled out and are over the bag. disgusting attitude and behaviour. shouldnt be allowed to trade and definitely shouldnt...

I have been going there for several years, and I have never had cause to complain about anything. The food is always consistently excellent! You could take a photo of your meal this month, and next month the same meal would look exactly the same; unlike a certain Mac-Scottish Burger place we won't mention.
The Hanley Café is always well presented, clean, and the friendly staff always attend to you promptly. The food is cooked to order, but it arrives quickly, served by happy, smiling waitresses; that is, I think they're smiling, their eyes certainly are.
The food and the service from the staff should form part of a training manual for ' How to manage a Café ', and 'Provide Excellent Customer Service'. Café owners should send their trainees there to see how it should be done.

Read moreOne star is too much! Ordered via just eat. Took 2 hours on an early Tuesday afternoon. Delivery refused as husband had to go to work before arrival. Tried for one hour to call the cafe. When eventually got through, was told not having a refund as they had tried to deliver. They think 2 hours is reasonable!? For a 10 minute cook time and 10 minute delivery journey!? They eventually reluctantly agreed to refund after arguing rather than being sorry or discussing in a sensible way. Husband also told he was lying about calling as the phone had not rang. Call history proof is on his phone. No apology or anything. Spent two hours waiting and more than an hour trying to sort it out.
