China Chef Chinese Stoke-on-Trent — Restaurant in Stoke-on-Trent

It's with great disappointment after being a customer for over ten years and given great reviews in the past that I'm giving china chef a one star we never have a Chinese from anywhere else up until now a couple of weeks a go we ordered the majority of food was Good but ordered a beef chow mein and could literally fill a mug with the amount of grease that came off it not being fussy one meal that's bad in a long time we let go ordered again tonight really struggled to order by phone no understanding of what we were trying to order finally got there after 20 minutes there was no time given for delivery we ordered on a Friday so expected it to be 45 mins but after 1 hour 30 we phoned and asked where our food was they said it's out for delivery now the food arrived 10 mins later we felt the food it was cold so phoned whilst the driver was still at the door they then started to argue with us saying it can't be cold and then spoke to the driver and asked us to accept a 2 pound refund because it was really late we said no then the driver said give them a decent refund fair play to him he was really decent in the end we accepted the food for a 8 pound refund but were informed by phone that we were not welcome to order from there again after ten years leaves a sour taste but will be happy to take our 40 pound order somewhere else the food is good until there is a problem then they really don't want to know and looking at the hygiene rating recently I'm shocked to know its below par so I'm definitely moving on to somewhere else sorry guys not...

Ordered through just eat asked to be delivered at 7.05 pm as I had to put my son to bed it came at quarter past 6 and when it arrived the chicken chow mein was cold chips looked like and tasted like they had been dipped in the oil about 8 times and cold the only thing that was hot was the gravy so I called up to the takeaway I was on the phone for 10 minutes trying to tell the Chinese that it was cold and I wanted a replacement I even told them they could have the old food and I would take it back myself but they carried on arguing the fact that it was hot and I was lying about it because I wanted a refund they then told me I had to call up just eat to get a replacement and then they hung up on me by now I am not hungry and I really couldn’t be bothered because they had such rubbish...

Just awful, the singular worst Chinese that I have ever experienced. The 'seaweed' was nothing more that fried cabbage, the chicken wings inedible , tough little things, prawn bread was soggy, two tiny tough and tasteless ribs (i think) some weird gunk, and two spring rolls that were obviously not freshly made. It was just hideous. Although I am writing this review after only eating the starter (a mixed appetizer) it was so bad that I am looking and the main and wondering whether or not to bother. £15 worth of awfull... Interestingly it was also my first (and last) time ordering through just-eat.

Just to recap, the appetizer was SO BAD that it put me off even trying the main...
