Here's what happened yesterday when I went in: Stood at bar waiting, no staff behind the bar. Girl appears and looks at me, says nothing. Me: Can I get a pint please? Her: I'm not working. Long pause. Still looking at me trying to work or why I thought she was working. I dunno, it's a pub, she's behind the bar. Me: Who is? She points into other room and walks into it still behind the bar. In my naivety I thought she was going to get a member of staff for me. Another two minutes and no one there to serve me. I walk into the other room and the girl from before is yakking with the person who is working and somehow has forgotten that I'm waiting. Me: Can I get a pint please? Her: OF? Me: (pointing into the room where I've been stood ) The Monk please. Her: THEY'RE ALL IN HERE. Me: There's pumps in there. Her: THEY'RE ALL IN HERE. WHAT DO YOU WANT? Me: Forget about it. Don't worry. I leave. I love a good pub and pint. I can't speak to the pint in this place but I have never been treated so rudely in a pub. The woman was vile. I was merely trying to order a pint and was treated like I was ruining their day. DO NOT BOTHER WITH THIS PLACE. I have no way of knowing, but I'm quite...

Visited the Glebe Saturday afternoon with two of my grandkids. We were made extremely welcome as soon as we entered the pub. We ordered lunch which we ordered at the bar. Excellent menu, offering an exciting choice. The food was served with a minimum waiting time. It was delicious. The pub was busy but the staff were serving customers quickly and with big smiles on their faces. The atmosphere was very comfortable and the place was spotless. I would highly recommend the Glebe. Everything was perfect, maybe not the right place for small children to eat, but older kids will be happy in there. My grandkids are age 15 and 20 years they were delighted with their choice of food. I can recommend the fish and chips with mushy peas, crispy batter and beautiful chips and mushy peas. Kids had classic burgers which they enjoyed very much. We ate every bit of our meals, we will definitely be going back and have spread the word to our friends. The reason we chose the Glebe was we were told by friends who had already visited. A fantastic place to eat and there is an amazing choice of beers, non of which we tried because we are all teetotal, but plenty of customers were enjoying...

Been past here sooo many times and always thought it looked my kinda pub.

Came in on a Wendesday night with a few friends. We both had burgers on the bogoff, which were both of an excellent standard and were so tasty indeed.

Loved the ''untouched'' interior and decor was like stepping back in time.

A couple of our friends had cheese from the extensive selection, such generous portions and value for money. I bought a pork pie to go, intended for my lunch the next day, getting home even after a boss meal the beer munchies got the better of me and I went for the pie, gorgeous. Easily the best in SOT by far.

Being a Joules pub the beer (slumbering monk) was lovely and very well kept.

The Glebe is definatley a hidden gem of a pub that is well worth a visit. Pint and a pork pie for sure.

Thanks for a great evening and such nice food and beer, I will be popping in on my way home after work to pick up a pie and maybe a...

Friendly helpful and caring Landlady in the bar when I walked in. I allen if I could bring in my Pushbike in. It was a yes because the establishment was quite with a few couples. The kitchen opens at 1800hrs at the moment as I opted for a Pork pie. A nice and meaty pork pie with jelly ( tasty) I had a pint of Pure blonde 3.8% and sat down on the bench seat near the door/ Civic Centre side of the bar. If I get the chance to.park in Stoke again I'll be jumping on my bike again and motoring down to the Glebe again. Thanks to everyone.

Had an impromptu gathering of friends on a Thursday night for some food. I've been frequenting this beautiful place for years and the staff are lovely and the beers great, it's always a nice vibe in here. I thought I'd indulge in the 'Divine Swine' burger and I have to say it was well described, divine it was, the burgers were all very well received. Had we known it was 2 for one on Wednesday we'd have tried to arrange for then! Still it was a great night and we will certainly be back. Thank you.

The Glebe Pub in Stoke-on-Trent offers a welcoming atmosphere with its cozy interior and friendly staff. The diverse menu caters to various tastes, and the quality of food and drinks is commendable. The pub's charm lies in its traditional yet modern ambiance, making it a great spot for casual gatherings. Whether you're here for a pint or a meal, The Glebe Pub provides a satisfying experience overall. I love this pub. It's what you call class.
