Went their today for breakfast with a couple of university friends and how I was treated was unbelievable, firstly from a mistake of my own I used the app to order food and then I went to the bar just to change the order around due to dietry requirements and by mistake I order to the wrong Wetherspoons to then be told very rudley by the manger TOM that i should of checked before making the order and I said politely I'll 're order' which I did and then phoned the store who was very polite about the matter refunded me however the manger said and I quote "You better phone them now or you won't be having nothing back" then when I 're ordered' on the app I went to the bar and he said you have minutes to change your order or you won't be able to make the requirements and I said okay and I asked for items to be removed from the breakfast and swapped and he was then asking ME! questions about my dietary requirements. I don't like talking to much as I have a speech impediment and people find it hard at times it is hard to understand me furthermore when I had my breakfast come to me it was not what I asked for and items was missing from the plate so I just let the waitress no very politely for then the manger TOM to come over and call me a point blank lier to my face and said I didn't say that to him and I said well I don't want this cuz it's not what I asked for can I have a 're fund and he said to me straight away "I AM NOT GIVING YOU A REFUND" and then I said why it's not what I asked and he said if I take this food away your not having nothing back. I suffer with anxiety speech impediment and also autism and ocd so I was at that point worrying. I asked for hash browns on my meal which comes with the meal and he said "mate if you want the hash browns you will have to pay for them". Which I did do and I said I don't think it's fair how I am being talked to and treated I will take this further for him then to give me my change and say aggressively here is your change my name is at the top if your gonna bother taking it further at this point I just wanted to go but I already paid and haven't eaten my food. So if you known what's best and for you and not being treated like scum I wouldn't...
Read moreFirst impression was a clean friendly ale House nice friendly staff . Sat outside ordered food which was quick we had garlic cheese bread empire state burger with chips and jack daniels sauce wife had buttermilk chicken burger with chips. Nicely presented and food appeared cooked properly however chips were only just hot enough and the burger was rather greasy and the bread bun was slightly stale but ok to serve. We ate food as normal and I'd eaten half of the burger and noticed burger was pink on one section so I broke the remaining burger apart to find more of the beef not cooked right the way through. These were 2 6oz burgers so more time is needed to cook them properly. I spoke to the manager whom apologised and gave me a full refund for the burger meal. We had visited another wetherspoons the day before and I had the same burger which was perfect so quick service this time resulted in food not being...
Read moreThis is a message to who I was advised was the manager Next month I am 70 years old, I have spent a lifetime of work in the service industry I do not expect to be spoken to like a child. I have visited Weatherspoons literally, all over the UK. Nowhere have I been spoken to in the manner you chose to speak to me today. I have also never been told to crowd the bar to be served. Politeness is still a necessity and I do not expect to be told by a ‘manager’ to crowd in and take my place. Also, for the last fifty years I have witnessed many good bar people and to a man, they all knew who was next to be served. If you and your staff are unable to follow this simple, standard staff requirement, then I suggest it is not your customers who require training, rather your staff!! Never forget, they all follow the direction of their manager. Except for those who came long before you and are always aware of good...
