A Brilliant Evening at Turkish Grill Restaurant, Our recent visit to the Turkish Grill Restaurant was an absolute pleasure, proving that this spot is a true gem. From the moment we were seated until we finished our last bite, the entire experience was top-tier.
The food, first and foremost, was simply great. The quality and flavor of every item we tried stood out, but one dish in particular stole the show: the Special Mix Grill. This plate is a must-try for any first-time visitor or anyone who wants a comprehensive taste of the menu. It generously features a selection of all the different kebabs, beautifully cooked and seasoned, offering a delicious tour of their charcoal specialties. It was the perfect platterātender, juicy, and packed with authentic flavor.
Complementing the exceptional meal was the brilliant service. Our servers were attentive, welcoming, and fast, ensuring that our glasses were full and every request was met with a smile. The staff's commitment to hospitality really elevated the entire dining experience.
If you're looking for fantastic, authentic Turkish cuisine served with genuine warmth and efficiency, the Turkish Grill Restaurant should be at the top of your list. We highly recommend ordering the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDisappointing. Was excited after the rumours and publicity but food was disappointing. Tandori lamb chops were so tough almost impossible to chew (much better before when Jalfrezi was down there which seems quite a long time ago now. Jalfrezi used to do amazing lamb chops - so tender and soft). King prawns starter were so over cooked and rubbery they were difficult to chew and at Ā£9.95 for 4 I was gutted. No where near as good as Maybank Indian tandori king prawns which are tender and succulent. One of the curries had so much oil in we skimmed off half a tea cup and was mostly bones and tiny amounts of meat. The other curry (handi) was ok but also swimming in oil and didnāt have much flavour - it was bland. We are used to Lahori Kebabish and Karahi master and their curries are generally tastier. The masala fish was not juicy and also overcooked and bendy and rubbery - elsewhere itās moist and succulent and flaky whilst retaining a nice coating. I was excited about a proper authentic tasty Pakistani takeaway but this was very poor and Iām shocked my experience seems to differ from the other...

Let's get the positives out of the way: it's been nicely decorated.
Visit 1 - Sit down restaurant visit: The restaurant was very cold. The entrance door did not close. The main waiter had no idea about the menu and the service was worse than a takeaway. Food was over priced and greasy.
Visit 2 - Take out order: I spent just short of £15 on 1 small curry and 2 chapatis. That isn't the worst part though.
I was given a curry full and I mean FULL of oil and bones, with barely any meat. Appallingly bad. Whoever served it needs the sack. This included, out of date chapatis. Shameful. Had to cook my own food after at home. Total waste of time and money. Didn't even taste nice either despite being bones and curry gravy.

Much better places out there for quality and value. This place needs to improve drastically or close. Absolute rip off and way below standards for prices...
