Bertos — Restaurant in Sunderland

Been ordering from here for about 6 months or so during the week and weekend sometimes twice week good food can't complain sometimes they've getting order wrong and they straight out and replace it no probs, but a couple of month ago they started 50% off orders every Sunday which I got leaflet at the door and texts that was toppa till I ring up last Sunday (boxing day) asking if they were open and is the 50% off deal on coz it is Sunday and they printed on leaflet every Sunday, I got told from the man on the phone he's waiting for word from manager I'll have to ring back, so me and the family got the our order ready and rang back half an hour later and a woman answered so I ask her about the 50% off she say no it boxing day read t & c so I went no its still Sunday every Sunday but I went ok and ended the call, and ordered from the hyton pizzas and they loved my £41 order, I'll be using them from now on, and you call us a loyal customer well you have lost a loyal...

Ordered from here twice recently... First time I asked for a chicken tikka and donner kebab mixed but when it came it was normal chicken and donner.. Couldn't be bothered to ring up cos we were hungry. Second time was atrocious... Ordered at 7.10 and it didn't come til 9. Rang up the first time to be told the driver was on the way, that was after about 1.5 hours. Rang u again to be told oh the drivers car had broke down and someone else was on route, I asked if the food was still going to be warm too be told yes. Another 15mins later the guy came. He said was this on time, I said nope 2hrs we've waited, he said oh really. Obviously he wasn't told the truth either. Opened our food and it was cold!! Absolute joke, this place used to be really nice but lately it's going down the pan... Food went in the bin, £18 wasted... Don't bother ordering...

Been using Bertos every Sunday evening for years and food usually nice but won’t be using them again due to their attitudes, normally order for me, my husband and our son, but on this occasion they were both out so decided to order on my own, they wanted to charge me £12 something for my pizza when normally we get the discount, but because I was unaware you had to spend £15 to get the discount I queried it, the attitudes were terrible about it, telling me I should have known, but on no text does it state this ( obviously somewhere in small print! ) they got very rude with me so I just sent the pizza back and won’t be using them again!!
