Open and Friendly well lit and excellent decor. Many pubs are just boozers where getting drunk is the aim. Here, the staff are amenable and attentive, one isn't kept waiting to be served. The placement of media and entertainment is not intrusive. Not Every empty wall has a panel on it. The large outdoor area would be great for a couple of pig roasts on warm summer nights. Clear walkways with plenty of room and adaptions for those of us with extra needs. Upstairs area for events too. The bar is large with easy access. Easy ways to pay Cash, Card, NIC, Great Prices too @ £3.00 for a pint of Carling and only £2.60 for Fosters, i 🤔 (of course, there are many other brands) Many popular drinks are available even craft beers. Huge range of Spirits to choose from, whiskies, gins, vodkas, and many more. My only gripe, is not a lot of Red Wine options or Light beer, as I like a lite beer or nice Bordeaux, but then, it's a public house, not a wine bar; And there are few places I will drink Carling so there's that. Hogarths feels like a home from home. Check out this great old...
Read moreNew manager hasn't a clue of running a pub. Leaves the pub for a break of half hour and never comes back leaves the bar tender in charge .Yet the bar tender has no experience and let's anyone in. When asked if they checked I.D says I haven't but you can if you want. There are no signs of what age groups are aloud in, you don't have to have an alcoholic drink to have a good time. If you don't let under 18 in then turn them away at the door and let security now the age the Security are not mind readers. They don't do snacks lol when asked the management but when asked bar staff they said we do but they are out of date. If you are going to open you should have everything in place. Customer asked if they can bring food from outside management says no. But when coming near the end of the night orders pizzas and when Security jokes I thought the food was not aloud she says if they are really hungry I don't mind. Talk to a brick wall then get...
Read moreThis place has gone downhill lately. Went in here tonight for a couple of drinks & was served by a girl that barely looked old enough to be working. She may be a very nice person but i dont know her. They say first impressions count! Well in all honesty, we was greated by her chest, well, most of it! I thought we had walked back into a 1970s pub. My partner & friend made some remarks about her chest BUT as people do when they have had a drink, its in jest. They served us & took our money. It was only when 1 of the group went to get more drinks, he was told they are not serving us because of the comments made. We then spoke to someone i pressume was a manager, he told us that the staff can dress how they like. Personally,in this day & age, i find it highly offensive that a young woman in a professional enviroment can be allowed to serve members off the public in a highly derrogatory...
