Little Dessert Shop Tamworth — Restaurant in Tamworth

Over an hour late food stone cold. I phoned 3 times to be told that they're busy ( I understand its a Friday night) but after being an hour late, my patience was wearing thin. Phoned up the last time to express my concern that its an hour late, and the food will be cold, the milkshakes melted. I was assured that it was just completed and fresh before leaving the shop. This can't be true. The crepe was hard around all the edges and towards the middle, not to mention it was literally swimming in sauce, not what is described. The milkshakes are melted though still okish. When I phoned to complain about the food, I was told to raise a concern on just eat. We paid cash and couldn't. Upon phoning back the employee ( I'm not sure what role he plays to the business) however his attitude was vile. I was told to come down to the shop to get a refund. Clearly he wasn't bothered about the lack of customer service, or being polite but he also clearly had no regard for the current covid measures by inviting me down to collect my refund. I will be taking this matter further tomorrow, mainly because they're is a way to deal with customers, how to be polite and apologetic. As I said above, I was understanding of the situation the first few phone calls. This is not how you speak to customers. My family are in the catering industry, and we have just been shown how to never handle...

This is an update but my original review is still posted below. We’ve eaten here regularly for a few years now and always have a great time. However our last visit was extremely disappointing. Despite being open the sign was closed. We opened the door and asked if we were ok to come in. There was no music playing or anything for the whole duration so the atmosphere was awkward. We placed an order for two desserts and two coffees but waited for exactly 30 minutes, watching 4 other groups get served their orders before I got up to go ask for a refund. The cashier was happy to start a refund but one of the other staff told us the order was nearly ready and they had simply ran out of milk for one of the coffees. No one told us this, we just sat there in awkward silence for half an hour.

Honestly, because of this we will not return, and it’s such a shame because it used to be amazing.

Superb, definitely one of the best dessert shops i go to. The range of desserts is huge and I’m currently working my way through the menu. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable and service is quick (the only slip-up we experienced here resulted in coffee arriving after we had finished eating but what the hey) Very reasonable...

On the 27th June I placed this order at 20:10pm with fast delivery and did not receive my order until 21:45. Meaning it was 45mins late!

I tried to call several time between 21:12 and 21:40. I was I'm the call with it dialing when I was cut off. I immediately tried to ring back to the line then being busy for the next 30mins. This is completely unacceptable.

Your website also states your provide tracking which is also not available and a complete miss sell.

When my food finally arrived half the order was missing with the other half melted. I then proceed to ring to no avail for 10mims until my call was finally answered and the solution offered to me was to send the other half of my order out the next day. How Is that acceptable. I placed the order on that day for a reason. Recieveing an order the day after is of no hope. I was then told I could have my order sent to me but it would take 1hr meaning it would then be 10.45pm (2hr30 after I place my order) which is utterly ridiculous.
